This band is taking power trio to the next level.. they explore music and have substance without the drama. You can tell each member of the band is an experienced musician with excellent improvisation skills. This band listens to each other and the result is something beyond words.
Junkomoto is the brainchild of Elliot Mitchell. From Austin, TX. Playing drums for a while sparked the desire to pick up the ax and be the front man of his own band because he wanted to evolve his musical ideas and play it live. So, when he moved to the QC, he put up the ads and met Tony Lanuto. Tony, originally from Long Island, NY, began playing drums at age 15 and has already played for crowds in stadiums, house parties and anything in between and unimaginable .. Then in August 2010, Tony met Tia Refait. Tia had just moved to NC from Philadelphia, PA and was itching to play bass in a kickass band.
