This instrumental psychedelic/world music project, founded in Toronto, Canada, explores the fusion of the sonic and visual, with all compositions based upon the ragas of North India. Formed in 2009 by producer Jason Steidman, lightsweetcrude invites you to "listen to the colour", with collaborators Fareed Haque, Rez Abbasi, and others contributing to studio recordings. Influences include Ravi Shankar, the work of Eno/Byrne, electric Miles Davis, and the improvisational approach of The Grateful Dead.
