Biography
Pocus Whiteface was a three-piece from north east London influenced by bands like Shellac, mclusky, the Jesus Lizard, Fugazi and The Fall. They started on 3rd August 2006 and finished on 17th October 2009.
T. J. Graham-Brown yelped and worked his guitar in wondrous ways; J. Scannell hit his drums with the precision and ferocity of an overclocked machine; and W. J. D. Heaven liked his bass to growl with very little middle. Sometimes they all wore glasses.
Their first release was an EP through the Hremig free net label, titled A Watch Means Conditions Are Favourable. These tracks should also be available to stream on Last.FM.
A self-released heavyweight 7" single, But It's Home b/w This Room Spins is available now from Norman Records and the band themselves; the MP3s are free to download on this site
Second EP I'll Give You A Buck If You Chuck Chuck Yeager On The Chin was released on ultra-limited hand-lathed 10" vinyl in 2008 and the CD version was available, free at gigs. Physical CDs will soon be in record shops with downloads available from iTunes/Amazon/Emusic.
The Album, REALS, was released just before the band split and will also be out on iTunes/Amazon/Emusic.
