Theo Cas breaks the mold for what a band can be. While being steeped in soul jazz and funk traditions with a great female vocalist - Jennifer Henderson, and being known for high energy rhythms and downtempo textures, the music and lyrics are generally based on ideas concerning humanity and untapped human possibility. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaYVGF10WWM The name Theo Cas comes from the obscure but legendary writer / musician /healer Thelonious Castaneda. Theo Cas is at once a source for inspiring music as well as a source for hope in the world, and also an insight for fans and you the reader: know that you can overcome your obstacles, that we are all more and stronger than we are lead to believe.
Theo Cas was formed in 2009 by Brady Young. The band has been performing and recording consistently since then playing in Nashville, TN, and the sourrounding region. Theo has played many of the main stage in Nashville, including The Exit In, 12th and Porter, the Basement and others.
