if youre thinking this song is about pedophilia, id say youre way off the mark. Statutory rape and pedophilia are two different things. This song is brilliant because it so accurately describes some of the encouraged culture around teenage girls and sex... "If you kiss me mister you must think im pretty If you think so mister you must want to fuck me If you fuck me mister it must mean you love me If you love me mister you would never leave me"

Mistrust of men's motives has gotten so that some grown women mistake a kindness as unwanted desire for them. In this song, it's not just about a little girl, but about HER unwanted desire. The spurned "woman" in this case. This is the first I've heard of "punk cabaret".

ThornofRose, I think you're misinterpreting this song— the "serves you right for kissing little girls" line is said sardonically. If you take into consideration the tone of the lyrics and the overall song, it's pretty clear that this is about an underage girl taking revenge on an adult man who dumps her by turning him into the authorities. At the end she laments, "I miss my mister so", implying regret for turning him in, because, despite the fact that it was her action, the result of it is that he is locked away in a cell, completely away from her, and that there is no way for them to be together again. It's a song about obsession and rage and impulsive actions.

I love this song, I've recently learned how to play it on my piano as well also, I do see the pedophile side to this song "serves you right! for kissing little girls" it's a pretty obvious line

Typical for feminist society these days, the song is obviously about a manipulative girl abusing the anti-male system to get a guy in trouble -because- he turned her down (maybe -because- she's too young?), yet the first thing people, especially females, think is that nothing can be a woman's fault. Idiots.

I don't get the "pedophile" angle here at all. I hear a song about an underage girl in love with a man who, when he decides to break things off with her, she turns into the authorities out of spite and anger because he left her.

About a pedophile? I didn't think that at all. Thought it was about someone getting a little obsessive over someone who didn't care about them. Ah well. Love it regardless.

I thought it was pretty much a given that this was about a pedophile :/ [3] ◄ Yeah, it's sad, unfortunately it happens everyday and I feel the biggest hate for those abominations that I've never felt for anyone. Well, I think this song could be a soundtrack to a movie influenced in greek tragedies.

@hello_rain - That makes sense, but it doesn't account for 'kissing little girls' or 'the county penitentiary'.

I have to say this is mixed really poorly, and it's not the first of their songs to have this problem. You turn it up to hear the quiet singing, and then it immediately gets housemate-disturbingly loud. I understand the concept of dynamics, but this is way overboard.
