Hey! Amazing musical tastes man, I see the real masterpieces of melodic death metal (old soilwork and inflames album songs in the track charts) Greetings from Slovakia!

Wow, the song sounds really good. I liked the underlying melodic portions in the song as well. I will have to give the band more of a listen :) Also, I don't know if you've ever listened to Red, but if you have they just released their new album. Not sure if you would like the band, it's not metal but still amazing imo.

I'm not really familiar with Dark Tranquility, although I've heard the name. If you like MDM so much you should check out this band called Hilastherion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61j8J84aMlo The guitar on this song is just sick! (imo) Plus they're coming out with a new album soon.

Soilwork is good, I just don't listen to them that much because I don't agree with some of the lyrics :( For me, In Flames has always been a bit overrated, but I haven't listened to their entire discography so I probably shouldn't judge. Anyway, I usually have to be in the mood for mdm; I prefer more straight up death metal or blackened death metal usually. Which reminds me...you need to listen to A Hill to Die Upon, if you never have :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdEYaNdOZhM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyIKvWTdnRM

Thanks man! I've heard In Flames (who hasn't :D) and Soilwork before but am not familiar with Nightrage. They sound pretty good, so thanks! The singer for Nightrage definitely has a unique voice. It reminds me a bit of the screaming on Extol's "Synergy" album.

Oh, I've listened to the album plenty of times, I just don't own a physical copy :D Actually it made its way into the top 15 Christian metal albums of all time. It was a project I started a while back, and where I got a lot of my practice starting writing music reviews and such. For some reason all of my picture links aren't working in it, but anyway... I have mixed feelings about Skillet. For me, they're more a band that has 3-4 good songs per album and the rest I didn't care for as much. On their newest album, especially, I thought that there were too many mediocre ballads. But that's just my opinion, of course. Also, I have to agree that overall Comatose is a BEAST and probably their best album.

Also, if you like symphonic black metal then you will love Ecthirion. I'll let the music speak for itself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OBGDlRNWcY

Nice! For me it was kind of the other way around. I started out more in metalcore, and then eventually discovered death, thrash, doom, etc. So I ended up listening to LS' metalcore albums first, and then later got into the thrash stuff. I have Inhabit but still need to pick up the self-titled. I don't know if you've seen this, but here's a list of all the physical albums that I own :D

Yeah LS rocks, just haven't been listening to as them as much recently. They're supposed to come out with a new album this year, so that's exciting. I assume you've also heard Soul Embraced, but if not, you should check them out. They have a new album coming out, it's been a long time in the works and they've had some delays, but hopefully it will come out soon.

Illuminandi is a mixture of folk and gothic styles. You should check out their album "In Via," it's awesome.

Hey, thanks! Actually, I had 1500+ Living Sacrifice scrobbles before I reset my plays a little while ago. I pretty much played The Infinite Order into the ground :D Anorexia Nervosa definitely sounds interesting, I will have to check them out further.
