I never understood why so many genre tags always show random bullshit that have no relation to the actual genre. I wish this site was better managed to where every page actually looked like this one.

I love deathrock. It's great this music has held its post-punk influence (with the percussion) considering I love post-punk.

Not entirely sure why All Gone Dead are so popular. Its not that they're necessarily bad,but its doesn't really seem like anything special to me.I don't know, maybe I just have to listen to more of they're music to form a different opinion.

Deathrock influences = positive punk + anarcho punk + glam + 77 punk + horror punk + psychedelic rock. basically it is a hybrid of multiple genres and some bands focus on glam while others focus on all the other shit. all in all. DEATHROCK = real punk rock music. and it fucking RULES!

deathrock is far more experimental than the typical new wave shit... while new wave has this stupid message saying "hey, we're having party here and nothing is wrong in my crappy life", deathrock focuses in a dark/theatrical way of understanding life... sometimes I feel it's overproduced but there are some great bands out there

Deathrock origins created in late 70's. Death Metal origins created in mid 80's. Deathrock was around before extreme metal (thrash, speed, black and death).
