Outsider House is a subgenre of House music which is characterized by it's use of rough, low-fidelity production in contrast to the polished sound that was trending in other commercialized genres of House in the 2010s. It often has a mix of fuzzy analogue and digital synths, with muffled drums and a saturated quality. It derives inspiration mainly from Deep House, but also various other subgenres of 1990's-2000's techno and house.
