Four years have past since my last shout about the rockabilly survivors. Now it's Wanda Jackson, Duane Eddy, Andy Anderson and Don Woody. Oh and add Glen Glenn to the list of rockabilly survivors!

Many of the rockabilly artists from the 1950's and 1960's are dead. The only survivors I know of are Jerry Lee Lewis, Wanda Jackson, Duane Eddy, Gene Summers, Jack Earls, Andy Anderson and Don Woody.

If you really wanna check out deep tracks from rockabilly, check out any various artist compilations. The ones from Buffalo Bop are the best ones.

I have nothing against rockabilly but the wiki for this page is an actual joke. It reads like something written by your avarage local bands non-musician friend would have written in a review of said band on a blog that no one reads.

Rockabilly is so underappreciated nowadays! I'm glad it had a revival with Stray Cats in the 1980's.

It sure is. I've been trying to build a collection of it for a while now. Most of the time albums by individual artists aren't all that great -- it's the singles and the compilations that are the way to go. There are so many Rockabilly musicians who never even made a full length album who have great songs in the genre. One of my favorite Rockabilly artists is the late Ronnie Dawson -- his song "Rockin' Bones" is one of my all time favorites.

AlexandrPanglos, научись грамотно писать сначала. Хардкор и все потомки его пишутся не через дефис, а слитно. Можешь не благодарить;)

I never really was one for Elvis, I respect what the man did though, I've loved rockabilly. It's something you can like no matter where you may reside.

Volbeat is awesome. I'm not sure I'd classify them as Rockabilly. They have some intros that can be considered that. As for them being a "teen" band, you are quite mad. They have many fans from 10-80
