Southern Lord is an American record label, founded in 1998 by Greg Anderson and Stephen O'Malley, specializing in doom metal, stoner rock, and drone. It is the home of influential and widely praised bands like Earth, Goatsnake, Khanate, and Sunn O))), among others. Today, the label has expanded their line-up to include artists from the the black metal sub-genre, including releases by Twilight, Wolves in the Throne Room, Tangorodrim, and Glorior Belli.
