noice...pretty similar taste. some extreme metal, some minimalist classical, some jazz, some electronic. very nice. and listening to ben monder right now...one of my top 5 guitarists right there. his chord-ability is unmatched. also dawn of midi is pretty sick, surprised to see them on your live list.

I can feel that. Sometimes listening to "Obscura" in it's entirety is a challenge to ultimately swallow. Negativa is nice and breif, like the perfect bite of toast in those silly american commercials. (Or is this a universal running theme in some way?) Damn. I guess I definitely have to see Portal now. I'm down for the performance art, specially if it sounds like ill dark magics. The loudest show I've ever been to in my life was a Thou / The Body collab show. That was a major assault on the ears and the way the ground boomed was insane. We couldn't hear the bass in songs anymore on any cd, ipod, or music-playing device after that show. I think I'm ready for Portal. Any bands you're dying to see other than Gorguts?

Same here! Steeve Hurdle (R.I.P) and Luc Lemay together - wow. I would have loved a full release. That would've been a mighty experience. Related: I have yet to see Gorguts live. I noticed you have "Portal" under "Artists seen live" - How was that? I figured they're a band that is much better 'experienced' than listened to.
