Mine's a fairly new account, but I see we both like Carlton Melton (and I DO like a Bardo Pond). Otherwise, I see you around as a top listener on quite a few artist pages. All of this is to say, you've got some impressive charts.

Really? I saw a documentary regarding Joe Biden's presidency some time ago. They said that Donald Trump would have been the better president - for China. We’ll see how Biden will do. Biden currently stopped the exports of all vaccines which have been produced in America. That’s not very nice! 😅 America first. Biden does sound a lot like Trump for sure, doesn’t he?

Hey, I checked out more of those bands you mentioned. I think my favorites so far are Kestrels, Blackwater Holylight (awesome!!), The Heavy Eyes and Kanaan (great guitars!). I still have a couple more to listen to, but thanks again for the recommendations. I’ll have to check out your charts too. So many good bands! Happy new year!

Yes, I do! The Warlocks are amazing! They are one of my all time favorites! Dead Meadows is pretty good too, I listened to the first two or three records. It’s been a while, though. Maybe I should listen to them again, soon. I know The Entrance Band too - I listened to them this year or end of last year - they were okay. Some songs were great, some songs sucked, though. 😅 Can I do you a favor and give you some recommendations? Bands playing Shoegaze maybe? Have a nice day!

Hello! I'm doing well, how about you? Thanks for the shout and all the recommendations! I'll have to check out those bands, since a lot of them are new to me. It might take me a while to listen to them all. I don't have any new artists to share this time around, but if you haven't heard Fleeting Joys' "Speeding Away to Someday" album, it's definitely worth a listen (or two!). I hope you are doing well!

Joy is great! It actually took me a while to find the band you were talking about. According to their Last.fm biography page, there are 17 bands called Joy! I listened to the "Ride Along!" album and really enjoyed it. I hear some Jimi Hendrix influences. The heavily distorted psychedelic blues is quite refreshing. Now I wonder what the other 16 Joys are like... ha!

Yeah, I listened to Moths & Locusts too. They really fit my mood at the time, kind of darker and heavier. I think I prefer Joy though. I checked out some of their other albums as well as Sacri Monti and Harsh Toke. Great energy and awesome guitar work! I'll be curious if you find any good bands from your 150 list. I certainly won't have time to listen to all of those. It's been pretty nice here, not too hot, but sunny. Take care!

Hey mteric, what’s the matter with you? Is everything all right with you? I wouldn’t say that you’re sounding depressed, but maybe you are sad at the moment? I thought so, as you described the sound of Moths & Locusts and how you referred to your mood. So, is everything all right? Or is something troubling you? If there is, you can write privately to me. - Regarding to Joy, I picked also a wrong Joy record. It was rubbish. ^^ I got two records of Joy - „Ride Along!“ and „Under the Spell of Joy“. I like „Under the Spell“ more, but I also listened more intensely to it. // I don’t know when I wrote the last time to ya. I have new bands for new. ;-)

Hey, I'm doing fine. I think I was just having a bad day when I wrote that, but nothing horrible happened. Thanks for being concerned! And yes, some of the other bands/artists with the name "Joy" aren't very good. I think I preferred "Ride Along!", but now I want to listen to "Under the Spell of Joy" again. As usual, I saved a bunch of albums to check out based on your last messages. A couple bands I found recently that you might like: "The Psychotic Monks". They have a darker psychedelic sound. "Unwound" was pretty good noise/math rock. On the shoegaze side, "Spotlights" was pretty good too. Take care!

You’re very welcome. If you have awesome friends, let me know. I’m very happy to get recommendations as well. So, if you got something. ;-) However, that are fine news that you were just having a bad day. And everything else is fine. I hope you had a great time between our messages. I got amazing music for ya: One of the best band I was listening so far: Lorelle Meets The Obsolete! An Experimental/Shoegaze/psychedelic rock band with an astonishing, magical sound ! I fell in love with their music! You gotta try that band, as well as the next one: Ulrika Spacek - an indie/psychedelic/krautrock band with amazing, gorgeous sound! Try it out! The next ones should be listened to: Hookworms: indie/psychedelic/noise rock - I like it very much. A northern collective called Our Solar System: Experimental/Acid rock/Space Rock/Psychedelic Rock - I was disappointed, cause I expected a certain kind of music. It was different. And it was quite good. Without certain expectations, you’ll like it.

Dead Gaze: lo-fi indie band, blends psychedelic/Shoegaze/grunge. It’s a nice music and worth to be checked out. Blaak Heat Shujaa, now renamed Blaak Heat: WOW! What a great Stoner/psychedelic rock band. Their sound is full of effects like fuzz, wah-wah, reverb and more. And they have incredible melodies, they’re going to digging into you mind. Blaak Heat Shujaa - Where You At - an epic ten minute song with an outstanding rhythm. Try and tell, please. Sahara Surfers is an Alternative/ Progressive/Stoner Rock band and I didn’t like it - I deleted it and the last band, Sons of Huns, as well. I picked some new bands on Thursday and I got a new outstanding band already, The Heads. Stoner/Space/Psychedelic rock and their sound is full of effect and awesome melodies. Their sound is really my kind of music at the the moment. Celestial Bums is also fantastic. Psychedelic/drone/indie rock are their tags and,.. Celestial Bums - Like The Planets. Try it. I’ll try your bands. I got 40 new ones btw

Hey, thanks for all the recommendations! I’ve started listening to some of the albums/bands and saved a bunch more for later. I’ll let you know what I think of them. So far I’m really digging The Janitors and The Ganjas. Cool guitar work with the right amount of layered distortion that my ears have been craving lately, especially after spending so much time listening to classical and jazz! I’ll look around for some neo-psychedelic rock too and let you know if I find anything interesting.

Oh yes Sir, I heard The Sonic Dawn already (three records) and I was really disappointed. I expected something different due to their name. Kikagaku Moyo ... I have them in my library, but I’m not sure if I heard them already. I have Asobi Seku and Minami Deutsch (no clue if written correctly) in my library and I heard Asobi Seku some weeks ago. Minami Deutsch is doing psychedelic rock, too? Asobi Seku and Miserable are doing Shoegaze-kinda music. The other two (pseudo) „Japanese“ bands are doing psychedelic rock? Bailter Space / Bailterspace (both writings are possible) are pretty nice. However, I don’t know The Head. I’ll check them out. And yes, I recommended Buried Feather to you. Pretty Lightning are doing kinda psychedelic, but I don’t find new stuff. Gnod is making insane drone / noise rock. Some songs are 18 mins long. But others are very cool. However. The new records of The Vacant Lots was released three days ago. I’m looking forward to listen to it tonight. 🙂

I’m starting every Thursday with new bands...last week I found Hum and Hey Colossus. I think you’ll really appreciate those two groups. ;-) Picnic is a very decent dream pop/ethereal rock band from Estonia which surprised me in a very positive positive manner. I liked those two records I heard. Another good group was The Starlite Desperation, tagged with psychedelic/indie/garage/blues rock. I like the band and just recommend it with the first three bands. Next: However, I was kinda disappointed from Pinkunoizu. Actually, very disappointed. The name’s Japanese and means „Pink Noise“. But their sound wasn’t noisy at all, it was overladen with keyboard music and perfect spots for guitar solos were played with keyboard. Maybe you should check it out. Few good songs. Next, Porcelain Raft, tagged with dream pop and electronic was mediocre. There were some songs I liked more (dream pop like), the electronic like less. Dream pop records of Porcelain Raft I can recommend to you.

Two bands are left: Jagguar is a band you haven’t to try out. If you miss them, you don’t really miss anything. ;-) And the last tryout was Les Big Byrd from Sweden. „Psych-Rockers“ from Sweden, which is tagged as indie rock, space rock and krautrock, is worth a tryout. I don’t think that the tagging is accurate nor acceptable, but I want you to form your own opinion. Did you liked my recommendations of the last few ... I don’t know. Eight to twelve weeks? Are you satisfied with the bands I told you? And did you agree with my opinion regarding the bands? However, I’m thinking about which bands I’m going to choose for later. And If I’m going to try out new bands again, or if I’m listening to some of the bands I found in the last few weeks. ;-) Would be happy about your feedback, mteric! Stay safe. Btw, Amon Düül II has some great records. ;-)

All right, cool! 😎 Thank you very much. „Barn Owl“ are playing drone rock/noise/psychedelic rock music as well as far as I know. They are in my library and I listened to them a couple of hours ago. „Mien“ are playing playing playing psychedelic rock and „Asalto Al Parque Zoológico“ from Argentina are making some very amazing psychedelic rock music. I can highly recommend this band to you. I’m familiar with „Amon Düll II“, „Fuzz“, and „Valet“. The last mentioned group is pretty great, they have a nice droning psyched-out sound. I like them. You’re right, „Naked“ is their best record. I agree, it’s my favorite too. „Fuzz“ is a Ty Segall side project with a very heavy distorted sound - their first record is better than the second one. Maybe you would like the „Ty Segall Band“, another side project of him. Listen to it. I know „Amon Düll II“ of course of course and I have a lot of their records. I have „Yeti“ too. I’ll listen to it - thank you very much!

There wasn’t any space left to finish my message. I don’t know „Goats World Music“ and I’ll look for it at Apple Music. I’ll will also look for the bands which you had been recommend in your original message. I’m thrilled to find out how they’re are going to sound. I’m currently listening to noise rock. Do you know „Band Of Susans“? It’s really an awesome, an amazing, just a cool sounding band. The records „Here Comes Success“ and „Love Agenda“ are so great. And I’m also looking around you know. My musical preferences are: Shoegaze, (Neo-)Psychedelic Rock, Alternative, Indie Rock, Ethereal Rock/Dream Pop, Stoner Rock, Drone Rock, Noise Rock and rarely Space Rock, Grunge, Experimental Rock & Goth Rock. For next six days I’m going to listen to new bands. I hope I like your music recommendations. I plan to listen to Bailter Space, Barn Owl, Modest Mouse, Mien, The Go (I stumbled over at iTunes), Asalto Al Parque Zoológico, maybe Galaxie 500 & Fursaxa (Drone) & Helicon (Psychedelic)! Bye

You Are There In Me : https://youtu.be/1i-I79_zPxA Secret Sound 5 : https://youtu.be/NO6PJ4c22Po Heavy And Dead : https://youtu.be/txVP_FzsiZ0 Behind All Evil Is A Black Hole : https://youtu.be/LuIcGx2jjFs

So, what have been your highlights recently? Also, by the way, reading that you're into drone and noise rock: please make sure to have a listen to The Telescopes' latest record 'Exploding Head Syndrome'. It's a great record -- iI wouldn't be surprised if it ends up as my favourite record of this entire year -- and given your genre preferences, it should be right up your alley.

Since fall starts creeping in, I find myself reaching for the more rainy day and cup-of-tea-with-a-blanket types of music. The past month I've revisited some of my favourite folk artists (the usual Nick Drake, John Martyn ('Solid Air' is great record to start with), Michael Chapman ('Fully Qualified Survivor') and Jackson C Frank (his self-titled is unfortunately his only release)). Low is also a favourite band of mine (regardless of the season, by the way). Their debut 'I Could Live in Hope' is an absolute classic, but their latest effort 'Double Negative' might actually slowly become my favourite record of theirs -- absolutely a landmark record in their rich discography. Currently I'm rediscovering 'Ones and Sixies', lovely record as well. Moreover, I've been on quite a Pan.American binge last week -- the perfect late night soundtrack for a contemplative mood. Finally, lots of Lee Hazlewood these days. Still in the discovery phase, but really enjoying what I have heard so far.

Hi friend, I'm sorry for not following you. I'm still not very fond of this whole 'follow' and 'follow back' system -- I prefer the less laborious alternative of just being able to add people as friends. Anyway, thanks for the comment! I think your first remark refers to SHXCXCHCXSH -- a band that I'm not too familiar with, but it's the kind of meditative music that I enjoy listening to while reading and/or studying. Same goes for the more abrasive/noisy subgenres of ambient and power electronics -- think of artists like Tim Hecker, Fennesz, Ben Frost, Ramleh and so on. If you're into that kind of stuff and/or would appreciate some recommendations for delving into, do not hestitate to let me know! Southpacific captures a similar medtiative/contemplative atmosphere, albeit with a different type of music: they were an instrumental shoegaze/space rock band, a bit in the vein of Bowery Electric, Windy & Carl and (perhaps) Flying Saucer Attack. Their two albums are worth checking out!

Bedient jede vorstellbare Stimmung. Was suchst du so aktuell? Shoegaze, Alternative, Noise Pop - also eher entspannend, zum runter kommen. Oder ist das das pures Gift für dich? ;-) Danke schon einmal. PS: Schade, dass hier so wenig Leute aktiv sind. Ohne aktive User ist das ganze nicht so super.

I’m glad you liked Crystal Canyon! They have some catchy songs. Thanks for your recommendations as well! I listened to a couple albums by Bethany Curve and liked “Murder!” the best. I really got hooked on “She Died”. The guitars are awesome on that song. There’s something addicting about the oscillating minor to major third riffs that works so well. The drumming and vocals are great too. They have a very dreamy sound. On another note, do you like the band Alcest?
