Run --don't walk-- over to Y'allTube and check out this Swedish doc about "Life on Mars?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYv_6MeEW6U It's in three parts and includes interviews w/Rick Wakeman an producer Ken Scott. Fantastic!

Unless I misunderstand, I just wanted to pass along the fact that it wasn't Mike Garson who played keys on Bowie's "Life on Mars?" --'twas in fact Rick Wakeman. If you go to Y'allTube and punch in Rick Wakeman Life on Mars, you should get two recent vids to come up with him playing it solo instrumental in concert--one on its own, and the other after "Space Oddity" (for which Wakeman also played keys on the original recording). Mike Garson didn't enter the Bowie picture until Ziggy toured the States in '72. Happy listening!

Hey, just read your comment on San Francisco Nights! When have you moved there? I really, really love that city and also hope to move there one day... Best place in the world, esp. the North Bay! Kind regards from Southern Germany, Marion

Hey :), I was recently getting through Midnight Lightning (in case you wonder I read your comment on Hear My Train a Comin's page) and what made impression to me on the album is that almost every song has overdubbed guitars played by either Jeff Mironov or Lance Quinn (both session musicians hired by then producer Alan Douglas). Actually I'm just sharing my frustration, because the album sounds so good, but the fact not being unique Hendrix takes away some of the... greatness and magic hehe.
