Thanks for the compliment! :) Yeah, The Anix and TBM still hold a special place in my heart after all these years, just so glad they're both active nowadays still. I wonder where you found me, possibly from the shoutboxes of those bands, haha.

Awesome! Does this mean you know Finnish or just found out about the band randomly? Either way that's pretty cool.

Haha that's quite the introduction then. I pretty much introduced someone else to Finnish music with Sara also. Oh, I can relate.. although us Finn's learn Sverige in schools, I haven't used it in a practical setting, so.. it's rusty, but.. trevligt att träffas! :)

Haha that's cool, glad you enjoy it! :) Yeah I was supposed to listen to it earlier already, but it released today so I'm not late. I like that there's some melodic bits in it, something new to the band.

Hey! I realized I never said hello after you left a nice comment awhile ago. :) I have been listening to the band Sara more after I saw that they are prevalent on your charts! Originally I had only one song of there’s that was on repeat and I decided to deep dive thanks to you! I love their sound!

Hi! :) No worries, glad you found them appealing. Even if they sing in Finnish, but I think their singer made translations for "Veden äärelle" which is cool. Speaking of him, he has also performed in English under acts like Pedestrian's Motor, Meadow Island and As They Slowly Travel to the Sea. I personally recommend these side-projects!

I got to admit I enjoy few foreign bands who also sing in anything but English but I still enjoy them, haha. Hmm, I think it's difficult to find Pedestrian's Motor as it's not on Spotify and I've only found two songs on YouTube, but Meadow Island and ATSTTTS are both on Spotify. They're way more chill than Sara in itself. Which Sara songs did you hear so far btw? :)

Nice!! I see you are on a TBM kick! They are incredible and you can’t get that sound anywhere else! I’m always hypnotized by it.💜😁 Have you had a chance to see them live? Oh ok great! Thanks again. I should check out those other projects for sure. Well, as for Sara, I’ve always loved the song Avaa se ovi, (it has the kind of hard hitting synth rock sound I love). But lately I’ve been into the album Solus! ☺️

Yeah, TBM has been a favorite since forever as I can recall, haha. Yep, in 2009 but that was the only time I had a chance to see them, think they tour in other European countries rather than here. Oh, Solus was definitely a new direction for Sara as they used to be more alternative rock oriented before that album (which was few EP's combined into a full length), but they still had some synths or programming in their earlier work too. I personally enjoy both the old and the new. :)

I think there are free apps online for it but probably only for basic Finnish. Someone already said how Swedish would be easier to learn as it is germanic like English, German etc. :) But if you're up to the challenge, then Finnish is for you, haha.

On on, muistan kun ekaa kertaa kuuntelin joskus vuonna 2004, kun Brandonilla oli kokonainen bändi koossa, mut nykyään tuottaa itsenäisesti ja parempaa matskua tulee ulos, ihan huippua vuodesta 2016 eteenpäin!

Yeah, i think the year 2019 brought a lot of new music to my Last.fm as i actively used Spotify and tried to go from style to style. Speaking of Rabbit Junk, they'll be coming out with something new this year! :) At least from what I've followed them on FB that i can see. Feel free to do some snooping and hope you'll find something interesting!

I think I found more towards the end of the year than I did at the beginning. I think I ended up listening to a lot of Riverside and Swallow the Sun and didn't have much time for anything else. New Year's resolution was to try to listen to more music rather than getting into old habits. Oh that's cool, I'm really loving what I've heard so far. They're totally my thing. I'm hoping to be involved with radio again this year so the more new stuff I can find the better :)

Down tempo and depressing? Sounds like a band for me, as something similar that comes to mind is Katatonia, not sure how close to them they are musically though, but that's been a band I've loved since about 2002. I think my music tastes had so many british bands in the past and still do, haha. :) Speaking of Moomins, i watched that around the christmas holidays, since they had it on tv, childhood memories. :D Definitely should! Although anything from 2002 to modern day is good from them. I never got into their debut album from 2000 for whatever reason.

Funny you mention Katatonia, because Jonas actually sings on one of Swallow the Sun's tracks, Justice of Suffering. Definitely one of my favourite bands. I wasn't keen on a couple of their albums, but the latest one is fantastic. It's a sad one because there is a lot of reference to Aleah Stanbridge - she is the "nightingale" that is mentioned within the lyrics. Haha I bought a Moomins book for myself just before Christmas. I always loved the TV series but I thought it was about time I bought and read the books. I watched a great documentary about Tove Jansson a few years back. She seemed like a fascinating lady. I will add them to my list of things to check out :)

Oh, really? I've completely missed that song then. I'd better listen to it after I've listened to some of their stuff first. Hmm, the sad undertone to Katatonia's lyrics is pretty evident, but i never knew the connections to her. Oh, nice! I think the books will be a nice read. I need to read more books tbh, haha.

Yes, I've been very fortunate to see Deftones a few times over the years. I totally understand not liking being at concerts with the large crowds. I think I know my limits on where I can stand in a crowd and tend to hang back when people start leaving a venue so it disperses a little first. I think I'm getting old because I always look for somewhere I can sit or perch now hahaha! Also, woo Neurotech! Great choice. I love that project, I'm still coming around to Wulf's new stuff.

For that very reason small venues like club shows are a much more preferred stage for me. Better let the energetic young kids have their fun now! haha. Yeah, Neurotech was a fun listen, but i learnt that he stopped recording under that alias and now focuses on NeuroWulf (which i don't mind tbh), but it's all an enjoyable listen for sure!

I think he felt that Neurotech had ran its course and he wanted to do something more electronic based. I really liked the crossover, but if he wasn't feeling it anymore, then there was no point in forcing that. And with gigs, yeah as long as I can see, I'm happy. No more pogoing around like I used to hahaha!

True that, if the inspiration isn't there for a particular project, then move on to bigger and different things. :) I'm sometimes amazed with some bands still making records after such a long time (too many to name), but to remain true to themselves. That's also true, it's still fun to go see some acts live just for that.

Back when last used to have a lot of things... Then they sold themselves to CBS. :( I loved it back in 2009- 13. Their player was awesome. I was in a group of people that listened to really obscure music as a contest. I even had my own group..ah those were the days. You can scrobble that many artists from any platform including Spotify. It's taken me years...

Also It seems to me i saw you listeting something from Finnish folk, so that makes me want to share with you another piece of strange/interesting Russian music - experimental band called Risha which performed mix of Russian folk and industrial metal :D https://youtu.be/F955zG5Xd-8 https://youtu.be/PGvmZIl5kPM

Hmm, i wonder which band fell into that genre now.. Folk definitely is an interesting genre, yet i don't find myself listening to it as much, but maybe i should. Bands that leave the ordinary and experiment on much more do interest me. :) I did have a listen on both, interesting to know that bands like that exist in Russia as well!

Hey! You might be the person to ask about about Mad Capsule Markets' other bands since they split up! Posted on the shoutbox but it might take a while for that to be seen. I listened to a bit of AA= and they're pretty tight. Got some Dragon Ash on now and they're even better, don't even know if they're related at all but I saw them mentioned. And I listened to Wagdug years ago, a couple of great tunes but not generally my thing. Got any tips on where to go next?

Well this is related to Mad Caps' side-projects, but i recommend listening to Hiroshi Kyono's projects KYONO and T.C.L (although it's not on Spotify unlike KYONO project, but you can find some stuff on YouTube for T.C.L). I really wished Mad Caps could just come together one more time and release an album!

Yeah, i found KYONO to be way better than what he did with WagDug, but even that is still missing something that AA= has managed to do, which is variety and freshness. I think Takeshi (the bassist of Mad Caps/AA=) is just the soul of Mad Caps. You can tell this with AA= and how awesome the project it is. But anyways, no problem!
