Taste-o-meter is back! And so is [artist – track name] display format—the other way is counterintuitive. Oddly enough, I disliked the new layout more back when it was in beta than when it went live. last.fm’s GetSat posts make my blood pressure rise thanks to the excessive negativity there. The old feeds from the 1.0 API were an incredibly efficient way to bypass the site to look up certain listening data, and I miss that too. R.I.P. the last.fm of 2005–2015.

I actually don’t make any effort to stalk—erm, keep up with Nagi at all! Just that her new material always pop up online quickly. Don’t you think she’s also a talented songwriter? Not only solo but also the doujin circle she is in with Annabel called [artist]binaria[/artist], which I am pretty sure I mentioned to you here a long time ago. (yes, Nagi did compose this) Annabel’s seriously underrated by comparison. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEOL-ZFV2SQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeJC5Cb9IRI

lol, then I’ll just assume everything is fair game with you. You also seem to be a sucker for Touhou, judging by the number of videos you’ve shared with me all this time. (“Really?!” you say. Knowing how quickly you forget, have a look in my shoutbox for proof.) Non-Touhou ALSTROeMERIA is also just as good, though your mileage may vary, because, well. And Nagi just released another new single so you know.

It's pretty much twice the price on EU, but still affordable for me, garrison missions and running a few old raids here and there gets it covered =D

Er yea jumping in on your conversation down there, I can't tell any difference between320 and flac either, however, I can tell a big difference between anything lower than 320, Maybe because my ears are used to having at least 320, so anything below sounds shitty, kinda the same with FPS, I can't tell a difference between 30 and 60, but anything below 30 is choppy as hell

I would say “Uzumebi” is most similar to “Ibitsu”. lol I don’t know why I originally thought you spent a fortune on headphones. Actually, my computer’s hard drive is big enough to fit everything I have with plenty of space left over. Just that I have a lifetime’s (?) worth of music to listen to. Yes, “Ibitsu” is from the (newer) Tales of Symphonia OVA. Akiko took 3 years to record the full track because she originally considered the TV size version as the full cut and didn’t plan on expanding it, but her fans made her reconsider that. She indeed has other rock tracks if that’s what you like. Of course her Akatsuki no Yona ED is on that new single. Akiko even used a Vietnamese folk instrument that I’ve previously never heard of in “Irodori”, the first track! Also, I love the second Cross Ange OST more than the first. Do you normally skip opening/ending credits or you just don’t pay attention to the song? Oh wow, what a lovely track! Let me get back to you because I need to check whether my library has anything like that.

Damn, son, $200 headphones! Can’t your ears tell the difference between 320 kbps MP3 and FLAC? A long time ago there was a short Akiko Shikata track which you said you liked very much. It was called “Ibitsu”. I’m happy the full version of it has been finally released on her newest single. You should check it out! And tell me what listening to Akiko on $200 headphones feels like. Before that, last week, I was looping Sound Horizon’s new album Nein; those 8–9 minute tracks are verrrry long so this is not necessarily a recommendation. What kind of music are you in the mood for? Do you use audio streaming platforms like Spotify or Pandora? I have tons of not-yet-listened-to audio files filling my hard drive.

You've listened to some? it's always experimental because I'm stil learning, though I think my upcoming release has some pretty solid stuff on it

P.S. I feel silly for leaving a too-short response here, lol. Haven’t been around here much; seems people have migrated to other places. Lately I’ve been obsessed with reorganizing my entire music collection, trying to get everything in 320 kbps, even though it’s not entirely possible because some tracks/albums are so hard to find at that bit rate.

Anime Expo’s guest list this year isn’t as interesting as last year. Of those invited, Kaya is perhaps the closest to being most relevant to me, since I used to loop his indies releases a long time ago. Otakon has a more impressive line-up in comparison, imo. So are you going to be at AX the whole weekend? I don’t think there’s anything you need to buy me. Thanks for the offer, though. =D

So I heard Two Steps from Hell is having a concert in L.A. in mid-June… are you planning to go? And since you suddenly have no clue: HWTF = HITs Worth Turking For (which you told me about in the first place XD), HIT = human intelligence task, GPT = get paid to, PTC = paid to click (usually ads, can also be emails but I’m only doing ad clicks at the moment). All this making money online business can be fun and stressful at the same time, LOL.

lol I’ll assume ethics is not a big deal for you. Some individuals on HWTF got incredibly pissed about people taking surveys that they’re not really qualified for. I had to be very careful about which HITs to accept, and even though I got away with 0 rejections (including a requester who accidentally rejected almost everyone else’s data), it just got to the point I felt blatantly lying—erm, fudging—my identity for extra money wasn’t worth it. So I quit. Besides, I found a GPT/PTC where I now can make almost as much as I did on mturk per month.

The reason I quit mturk, you mean? I loved seeing how fast I could make money there… until I felt guilty for tainting researchers’ data by doing all those HITs illegitimately. And I’ve tried to convince my boyfriend to start using his own account, but he hardly does any HITs himself except for the few that send him email alerts.

Wow, that is one looooooooong video! I had to quit using Amazon Mechanical Turk. Trying to figure out whether CloudCrowd or Clickworker is the better mturk alternative. The only part of my routine that I firmly know is which GPT site is worth using, since they all tend to carry the same offers.

Unfortunately… no. I wish I were going to ACen, as well as Otakon and AX. =( How are things, btw? Did your girlfriend really mail you homemade cookies for Valentine’s? I got so distracted playing around with all that online money-making stuff that I started forgetting to check my last.fm page regularly, hence my abnormally late reply. ^^;;
