Dressed To Kill is also not too bad . the first half is meh but the second half is really good ^^ Of the three albums I like Hotter Than Hell the most. the whole album is enjoyable. but Black Diamond and 100.000 years remain the best songs so far for me ;D greetings ~

Alright I'm done with Ghetto Machine. Not really spiritual, but you can find here and there some "world music " like lead riffs and that one instrumental. It actually sounds like a groove metal band trying some grunge stuff. I'd say it's pretty solid. I enjoyed it . good stuff. years ago I didn't like it cause it doesn't have much to do with metal. It doesn't today too , but I can appreciate stuff like this much more nowadays. It's solid and pretty interesting. not metal but interesting yeah. I think you might like some songs ~

Yeah, didn't bother with any of that for long. It seems really weird for me to categorize bands with absolutely no musical similarity into the same "genre" based just on where they're from. According to that, shouldn't stuff like Boris or Church of Misery fit that category too? Then it makes even less sense, but what do I know. Anyway I still listen to those bands, just not the vk stuff that was popular. Some old school vk is pretty cool though, Gargoyle or Aion for example, and X Japan obviously.

EvilWoomy
I don't listen to the VK stuff nearly as much as i did back in the day either. Mainly (older) MUCC and Dir en Grey, but i like some of the other newer bands too. D'espairsRay and Kagerou were both really good imo, i guess i'm generally into the darker stuff :/ haha P.S. Dir en Grey is an old-school VK band too, it seems most people forget that.

Right? Love them so much ❤️❤️❤️. I saw 'em live back in late 2018, and i miss them so much 😭. I haven't been to many gigs in my life, but i must tell ya, that was the best gig i've ever been to. They're just amazing live. Their passion for the music, and the energy they have is out of this world. I really hope i'll see them again as soon as possible. If you haven't seen them performing live, go see them if you ever get the chance! It's totally worth it, such a great experience. I wish i would've gone to Meet & Greet tho, gotta get the VIP tickets next time i guess.

I met band-maid last year, a recommendation from a colleague of mine, who by the way is very good and energetic, I imagine the emotion of you having gone to their show, I have already been to three shows by different artists: Epica, Tarja and Cpm22 , I hope to see them playing live at a show.

Ahh, i've been listening to them since 2017 i think? Just Bring It was their latest release at the time i became a fan. I remember when World Domination was announced, i was so excited. Still my favorite B-M album, it was also the World Domination European Tour when i saw them live, and i've loved the album even more ever since 💕. I wasn't big on Conqueror when it was released for some reason, but now it's probably my 2nd favorite album by them. I don't really know, i love everything they've released. Saiki's voice is just angelic, and they're all talented musicians. They keep impressing me with everything they release.

Now that i listened to it again, i'd agree. No weak songs on that one really, except maybe the instrumental, but it's short so i don't mind it either. I actually noticed some riffs/solo parts that definitely influenced the NWOBHM scene a little later. Johnny Blade solo could be from a Maiden song as well. Way better album than i remembered.

Yeah it was the only one i remembered before i revisited it now, definitely a great song too, i won't deny that, but not the best one. I think Johnny Blade and Junior's Eyes might be my favorites from the album. And yes, indeed it is very different from any of their other stuff, but i think that's what i liked about it. Kinda refreshing in a way.

Hmmm i think i really liked Shock Wave too, need to give it another listen soon. I usually remember albums better if i don't take a break from it for months. I guess that's usual tho haha. I mean at least if you've heard the album like 3 times in total, which is the case with this one for me.

Idk, i really don't think i can get into BM. I might try few other bands too, but that's it, can't really force anything. I quite liked Blood Fire Death and Hammerheart tho, and i think i realized what the problem with BM is for me. I can't stand that fuckin' production, for sure i can hear that the roots of that genre are in Thrash too, and i wouldn't say that i hate it either. Maybe i'll have to listen to those again at some point, who knows if i'd start liking them at some point, but like i said, can't really force anything.

Yes, obviously i knew what your reply was gonna be, but i'm gonna ask you, would it be better if i wouldn't be honest then? Like i said, i didn't hate any of it. The riffs are good and actually i'm quite impressed that this was before Sodom's debut so Bathory was probably a big influence to them aswell. For sure i admit that they're an important band to the whole Extreme Metal scene, but idk, maybe i'll give you my thoughts when i've heard those albums more than once. Anyway, i'm really liking this viking era tho, epic stuff.

That's strange coming from you, since you say really similar things. Also it's mainly a joke, my about me is always some stupid shit these days. Might update it at some point, but the sad fact is that most Metalheads are really close-minded when it comes to other genres. And yeah, Kyuss is awesome.

It's not just metalheads, for example hip hop people are many times even worse. Anyway the thing that bothered me most in that was the apologizing "but I still like metal" tone after you said the thing. I think you should really mean it or not say it all. But well, enough of that.

Yeah, she's great ❤️ I also love that HANA EP and i hope she will release something new soon (i've probably been saying this too much already 😂). Also a collab album with Grimes would be great since they're best friends and Hana is one of her background singers/dancers too and plays guitar on some of her songs.

Your compatibility with NoLifeKing98 is Super. You both listen to Running Wild, MellowHype and Tyler, the Creator. This is kinda bothering me since I don't really even listen to RW, tried many of their albums but only really liked the debut and maybe Port Royal (don't really remember so much of that one anymore). Really overrated band imo, and this is coming from someone who's a huge Judas Priest/classic metal fan.

I like them more than Judas Priest (maybe i shouldn't say this but i'll say it anyway lol). For me, Priest has some albums i don't like so much. Well, i couldn't care less about RW after the reunion but that's a different thing then, i don't really know anyone who cares about that stuff. I think Port Royal and Death or Glory are their best albums. And about this compatibility thing, i don't really know how it works. I don't think it has any logic in it since me and Lorelai's compatibility is still 99% and with you it's only 97%. I don't really fuckin' know and tbh don't even care :D

Not among my favorite bands by any means either, but they're okay. Overkill was pure 🔥 tho, still should listen to more of their albums, and btw, off-topic but i think this Sepultura album is much better than Roots. Doesn't have those annoying instrumental songs :D at least yet... but i guess it will not have either since you said that this album's instrumentals are much better.
