ExhaustedWinter
Yo!! I've been trying to. That's insane! Thanks for even checking that out, that's kind of unreal in a lot of respects. Sorry I'm getting to this so incredibly late. What sort of stuff are you really digging these days? Any style!

I have to admit, I never really liked Marduk and Dark Funeral. The Lurker of Chalice album is in my opinion a great example how atmospheric has to look like. As you see I also enjoyed Spektr. Don't know how to call it, because I don't really know something comparable. Industrial, ambient, atmospheric all these elements you find in their records.

... really good atmospheric BM in my Opinion and the first album of the Ruins of Beverast, as it's easier to accessible and I for example liked the first more when I started listening to the Band. A good depressive BM Band would be Coldworld, besides Sterbend, as I see you already discovered Sterbend. Listen to the stuff I just recommended and then tell me your opinion, after that I can recommend your more stuff =)

It depends on what you really want, a lot of people tend to think that every slow played BM is depressive BM. I could recommend you a lot of Bands, yet I think it wouldn't really have a sense, as it would take months to listen through them. As distinguished from 'normal' BM atmospheric BM needs more time to listen, as it's harder to get a connection to the music. This is the reason why people who start listen to BM stick to stuff like Marduk, Dark Funeral etc. Just with time you discover the beauty of the other forms of BM, well at least that was my situation, however I often notice this behaviour in other people. I listend ~30 times to 'Rain upon the Impure' from 'The Ruins of Beverast' and still discover new aspects, as it's harder to get through that album. But enough of all that talk =), I strongly recommend you Pensées Nocturnes - Vacuum, it's my favourite release in this year - I'm really impressed by this work. Moreover I can recommend you the 'Lurker of Chalice' album,...
