I see a lot of stuff in your charts that I listen to. Ween of course jumps out being my #1 artist and Melvins being yours. A little further down the list I see DEVO, Boris, Big Business, Talk Talk (which I'm rediscovering after the unfortunate passing of Mark Hollis). It appears you like a slightly heavier version of the music I like. I noticed a ton of crossover when it comes to 90's bands. As for you question about what I don't listen to... I don't listen to much modern country music. That is what I'd consider American country music after 1990. No appeal, at least not yet. However, I'll give anything a fair shake. BTW... I see you like Melvins and Big Business. You owe it to yourself to revisit KARP. I see you listened to the self titled lp once a few years back. Maybe give Suplex a spin?

Oh my God, Mark Hollis died? D:> I didn't know... that is indeed very unfortunate :( But besides that, yeah, I like the way you put it - slightly heavier version of stuff you like, that's interesting. KARP's Self-Titled LP didn't impress me much unfortunately but I'll try Suplex if you recommend it :) Can't wait til Big Business' new album that should be out pretty soon.

Sorry to be the one to break the bad news. :o As for Karp I figure you might have a different perspective now that you've had a chance to hear Jared Warren's voice featured a bit in new Melvins and of course a lot on Big Business. Excited to hear the new BB album, they're playing my city in 2 weeks.

RIP, Mark. I recently got into Ween and I don't understand how I even lived without them before. I think if they had more releases and were still active like the Melvins, they would be up there in the top of my chart in a year or two. I already knew Jared is a superb vocalist by the time I listened to Karp, I recall I just thought the songwriting wasn't strong enough, very repetitive. The thing is, vocals for me basically don't have any extra value/importance over the instrumentation (or song structure), I value all that stuff equally and judge by the sum of it all. Or rather, the arithmetic mean. I listen to a lot of instrumental music too, where vocals aren't even part of the equation, and appreciate it just as much. So yeah, Jared is a huge plus but the rest needs to be good in order for me to see the whole thing as good.

Hello, your traces on Khôrada page led me here. An elaborate opinion is a rare and pleasant sight on last.fm. Can't help but notice some Fureon Nectarmoon in your recent scrobbles. Is it a project of your own?

A lot of released stuff is drone/dark ambient but there are other tracks that aren't on a release yet, in different styles. So in general I can only say "experimental". I just experiment with different methods of creating, processing and arranging sounds and improvise until I get an idea that I can shape into something. So it varies. The best way would be to just listen. All the "oficially" released stuff is on Bandcamp and some other tracks are on Soundcloud. I am working on more yet.

I learned about from browsing rym's charts and listening to Группа крови. I did know of them for a couple of year, but never checked them out until just recently.

Sometimes I'll click a random profile and go to their comments and click a random profile there and go to their comments and click a random profile there and so on...Sometimes I leave recs if I think they'll like something.

Yeah..., I guess he should lose some weight xD and yeah, Discouraged Ones is awesome and would probably on the second place on my list =P They sound more and more like all those genereric bands out there. It's like they lost their trademark somehow =/ I can't understand the fans, that say the new album is great, awesome or a masterpiece... really?! They should try some critique instead, maybe then the band will realise, that they lost track somewhere on the road... Okay, maybe that's a little far fetched since I don't like it when fans try to change a band the way they want them to be or keep them from being creative... but still, they lost something along the road =/

Well, to be honest, it got a little boring to me since Night is the New Day. Don't get me wrong though, I love Fosaker and especially The Longest Year but overall, I can't listen to the whole album that long until I get the urge to listen to something else. To me it sounded more like an experiment... partly very good, but on the other hand not as polished. Also, I like the more emotional Renkse. My favorite is still Last Fair Deal Gone Down and i guess it will never be topped on my Katatonia Album list =P But yea, I gave Dead End Kings (even the name is pretty bad in my opinion xD) a few spins, but it sounds to me like a "not so good" Viva Emptiness mixed with a little Night Is The New Day =/

i like de new album, yeah, it's good, it reminds me of their album Mabuta no Ura but crossed with their new weird shoegazey stuff (Cosmos, Aileron, Missing Pieces, all that jazz), and Method of Error is my favorite track. I suppose it's a little Melvinsy but i dunno man i dunno, bbbbbbbbbbpt

I just found out my phone has NOT been scrobbling anything since January 19th! The stupid app kept saying I had the wrong password. Fixed now, but... dang. At least the scrobbler at my workplace finally spat out that huge ass scrobble cache it has been keeping for heck knows how long.
