I really like "Glad Music" which was one of the few he recorded in a professional studio - but as you have probably noticed I have been giving various of his albums a spin in the last week. Supposedly he has over 400 in total(!) So I don't suppose I will ever get around to checking them all out...

Haha it's nothing personal, I just get too lazy to check my shoutbox. I still think about both you and Issa every day. ;)

And you too there Baz. I'm not from America, so my knowledge of your customs is somewhat rusty... Is Thanksgiving the day where you give thanks for the forefathers giving the hated British a taste of their own medicine via pissing in their cereals or the one where you give thanks for the forefathers giving the hated British a photocopy of their anuses in lieu of a Christmas card? I'm British, but as you can imagine we're pretty keen to forget those incidents.

I've got all of their albums up to and including "Discipline". I haven't really gotten into "In The Wake Of Poseidon" and "Islands" but the rest I pretty much love. I also quite like the "VROOOM" ep - "Thrak" has its moments, but most of the songs that appear on "VROOOM" and "Thrak" are better on "VROOOM". Have you heard Robert Fripp's solo album "Exposure"?

Yeah, it's my favorite Neil album and possibly in my top ten overall. I think the anniversary of its release is coming up on Saturday, going to have to listen to it.

Wow, I just listened to Cutting Edge straight through and it is actually unreal. So many great songs, and such cool versions! Thanks for the heads up.

Yup, same band and that album is great. My favorite Earth albums (not counting Radio Earth, which is a live album) are The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull and Hex; Or Printing in the Infernal Method. I like the early stuff, but Dylan Carlson's music became even better to me when he started incorporating Americana.

I saw both Chelsea Wolfe and Mark Lanegan recently, too. Don't remember if you listen to either, but both shows were amazing experiences.

Been mostly into the same stuff, but I've been listening to a lot of Earth lately. I find that Earth makes for excellent summer music, especially super early in the morning when the sun's just about to really come out.

Congrats on the engagement and music class [2] "Lizard" and "Larks Tongues In Aspic" are both awesome KC albums btw! I would be very surprised if Heather Mills/McCartney didn't get a tattoo of her old leg. Hitler got a tattoo of the testicle that got blown off during WWI and after Karl Marx's beard fell off he got a tattoo of his beard so that people would still think he had his beard.

If you listen to shitty music and we have super compatibility, what does that say about me? Yeah, I guess my taste is pretty shitty.

Yeah, that's a good album. Kilbey was a big junkie at the time and said that whole album was him trying to capture the feeling of what it's like to be on heroin. I've never done heroin, but I do love the atmosphere of that album.
