Dalej Niemcy? Wpadasz czasami do Warszawy?

Well, not exactly sneaking :D A friend told me she met someone on Rock For Roots who added her on LastFm and found things I had written in the shoutbox so I had to check it ;) And no, I haven't been there, very few bands I would have liked to see. Oh, I am a bit jealous of your travellings, but well. Maybe one day I will too :D

Hey! I'm a bit jealous of your travels to Iceland. That's probably the most attractive country for me, although I've neve been there. The fact alone that the language they speak is the closest to what the vikings used to speak says a lot. :) About hhking... well, I'm not that kind of a person. I need to know exactly when and where would I end up and need to know for sure. You know, planning, schedules, time-tables - that's my area. :) Well, anyway, my summer was full of activities too - mainly related to reenactment festivals or camps and at the end of the summer I was even lazy to go anywhere else.... Mėnuo Juodaragis was a blast! Probably the best MJR and one of the best events I've ever went to. :) Haha, the alternate ending about the bus is funny. :)) Unfortunately my old car won't have such...

I'd love to hear your stories and hitchhicking tips! I'm planning a kind of round-the-world trip for next year so it might be useful :) I'm going to Romania too, right after the festival, but I'm just taking the train to Bucharest (or maybe Sofia, haven't decided yet) to catch a cheap flight to Paris.

Hey, nice to hear from you! :) Yes, i've definitely heard about that festival and there's an entire 'alcobus' going there, but I'm not going.... My summer is filled with reenactment stuff and camps for youth where we're guys are demonstrating the baltic warfare and myself and other girls - crafts, plus my current financial situation is a bit tough even to save for the road.... :) btw, as far as I've heard Kilkim Žaibu invited Ukranians this year for free. There were many foreigners this year... well, good look in your travels ;)

Lol looks like you've seen it all! I don't think you call yourself a real traveller if you haven't been stuck at an ex-soviet border wondering whether or not these guys are gonna let you in and what kind of bullshit they're gonna try to sell you :D Hitchhicking sound like fun but I'm too much of a loner for that, though I kind of feel sorry for myself for the 24-hour bus ride too :p I would have taken the plane but the prices were already crazy... Do you always manage to hitchhike for free in Eastern Europe? I've seen a lot a drivers asking for money, even for short distances.

We're leaving on Sunday with a friend, by bus. We're planning to spend some time in Krakow and Lviv before heading to the festival. We haven't really figured out the dates yet but he's already been to the festival last year and I'm quite familiar with Ukraine so we should be fine. Hitchhiking from Berlin is cool, I hope you won't get stuck at the Polish/Ukrainian border for too long!

Yeah, I'm kind of a member of Romuva and participate in all that stuff. I say "kind of", because I used to be more active earlier, but now I'm continuing to look for my path and although Romuva claims to "continue" what was destroyed hundreds of years ago, it is simply impossible to continue, as there are not much sources left to tell us what REALLY was there. And I sometimes find their rituals lacking of sincerety. But that's my opinion. I see Romuva as a really good start for a beginning Lithuanian pagan. Being there gave me the basic knowledge, form which I continue on my own. :) If you decide to visit us, let's say, at the end of April, we could easily go to celebrate Jorė - probably the most important spring celebration. So, this celebration in POland, what is it about? Or is it more like a pagan gathering there?

... nice concerts here and it doesn't count as "real" travelling, too ;) But at least I am going to meet a couple of friends there I haven't seen in a while. Looking at the amazing pictures of Stella Natura (thank you!!!) I am again pretty sure I will have to make it there someday. So, have a nice weekend! :)

Hm, yes, there was someone with many patches, that's why I "decided" I might have seen you, but I can't say anymore than that there were many patches and the owner was tall, sorry :D But yes, we will say hi ;) Well, I certainly like the classic Hifi-station more than my Laptop, so... Been listening to some pagan/folk stuff for a while, too, and there are still bands I can very much appreciate. But as for the small part of me that feels uneasy when some bands are just politically contrary to my hippie views... it annoys me to doublecheck there (and even more if I don't have to check at all becautse it is selfexplaining). And yes, it is the same with Black Metal but ... hell :D / I know this app, but don't use it regularly. I like my radio station better for that matter :) Or just the shuffle function. Oh yes, travelling takes time & a whole lot of money, sadly. I will be to Stuttgart the next few weeks and excavate there, sort of looking forward to it thought I will miss a bunch of...

Damn, something happened and my previous post disappeared. :/ So, in short, yeah Vilnius is nice for visiting, hanging out, etc, but living there is not that nice... I've found a couple of nice actvities though, but mostly I just sit at home and work. ANd hang out with guys from Klaipėda even more often than from Vilnius :D We do think about going to Berlin for a visit, but currently there's just so much stress for me with moving and trying to make the place in vilnius feel at least half like a home that I don't have any more thoughts to invest somewhere else.... perhaps next year, like in spring, or something...we'll see :) thanks for invitiation again. btw, what did the article say about the event in Slovakia? :)

Oh hey! I somehow started to think that mayhaps you've already forgotten us. ;]]] The city of Memel... Ah, I wish I knew, I'm stuck in the capital (kept my promise to my boyfriend to move), although I'm gonna enjoy the salty weather of Klaipėda the whole next week. Slovakia was great, a great trip, a great adventure and really lovely people there. :) How have you been? Travelling anywhere recently?

Hoodie, shirt, skirt in black? Beer, boots, big & a little bit of hairwaving? :D Actually I might have seen you (or at least the patches) but as I usually skip most of the crowd (not very into socializing during shows) I won't promise it :) I might tell you if I recognize you at coming concerts :D Yeah well, there is a lot of my CD-collection I haven't ripped yet and for the things I just have on vinyl... they do not scrobble either *g* But I never have been only into one genre, too, so of course there are quite a few bands I just gave a try and thought I might get back to them sometime. I checked Àrsaidh. Quite nice. You listen to a lot of folk/pagan influenced metal (it seems to me) and for me there are only few bands there I am really interested in. Stella Natura - money really is a problem. Good luck for next year! Never have been to USA or Canada myself yet. Skipped through some online pics, do you have others?

Hey, thank you for the shout! I've been to the concert (and a couple of others, too) so it could have been me. In my opinion it was a great show! And for the diverse musical taste, well, there are quite a lot of bands who contributed to some sampler or else, so they have just one scrobble. If my MP3-Player would scrobble things might look a little bit different in with playcount :) You seem to have quite a unique taste yourself, quite a lot of bands I haven't heard of (yet). Have you made it to Stella Natura? Still dreaming of going there, too. :)

Hi there :) Are you interested in bars and pubs or live music? For bars I could recommend you The Black Lodge, Adams Bar, Studio Sounds Like (usually during the week there are bands playing, but on friday and saturday it's just a dj party). There are clubs with live music only like Rock Bar Fans and 8th Ball, but it's too early to know what will be their program in June :) Also, Parkway Drive are playing on 5th of June. There is also a nice Irish pub which is called McCarthy's. Let me know if you need more information :) Cheers

No worries! A shame that the sound wasn't that good for you, but I deeply hope that we will be able to see Solstafir headlining soon, to have a longer setlist and much more goosebumps. Also, I truly want to thank you for linking me those songs. I enjoyed it a lot: it's really poetic, like you said. I surely will take Flowers From Exile or Masse Mensch Material to know them better.

Thank you so much! :) Yeah, it's quite a shame, I like Long Distance Calling but I wish Solstafir could have headlined this tour... Anyway, I'm really glad to see that they played Köld. I'm not a big fan of their last album (even if I think Masterpiece of Bitterness and Köld are two great masterpieces), except for Ljos i stormi and Djakninn, so I'm quite disappointed they don't play more of their earlier stuff. I read somewhere that they played Goddess of the Ages, but the person wasn't sure, so maybe the last song you think of is this one... Oh, you didn't have a good sound? I went once to Kulturfabrik (to see Cult of Luna), and the sound was indeed perfect, I hope it will be the same next week! (I don't know Rome, so if you have a track or two to recommand me, it will be a pleasure to hear that! ;))
