Hey, I'm just glad I can spread the love of an amazing band! You're very, very welcome though. I hope you can go see them soon! If you haven't already, that is.

Aww yeah, man, I dig Snowing's Emotional Bullshit EP quite a bit, though I'm woefully ignorant about what to say about it in the context of genre. I think you'd like Snowing if you don't mind vocals that vary from odd to outright annoying at times; the lyrics and instrumentation are damn worth it IMO. And Fang Island - s/t is one of my favourite albums in general. Just this absolutely infectious, positive mood throughout their whole self-titled. I think you would dig it completely.

Of course! S/T sounds fantastic on vinyl. What do you think about Love Interruption?

I'd say Either/Or. It's the balance between his more stripped down stuff like the self titled and the poppier stuff like XO and Figure 8. Plus, in my opinion, it's his best album. Hope you enjoy :D

Like everyone else I'd probably start with People Who Can Eat People Are the Luckiest People in the World. If you don't dig that go right to Knife Man and work your way back. Knife Man has more instruments and depth whereas PWCEPATLPITW is pretty cut and slice folk-punk. But it's still one of my favorite albums ever.

Either Black Sheep Boy or The Stage Names. Black Sheep Boy is more on the Folk/Rock side, The Stage Names is a bit more Pop/Rocky with some folk thrown in. If you like those move on to The Stand Ins, Black Sheep Boy Appendix, I Am Very Far, and the First Golden Opportunities Mixtape. If you are still interested check out some of their Older Stuff; Don't Fall in Love with Everyone you See and Down the River of Golden Dreams. The last stuff I would check out is Overboard & Down, Sleep and Wake-up Songs, and Stars too Small to Use. My favorite tracks by them (In case you want to get an idea of what I think their crowning achievements are) are: Black Sheep Boy #4, Another Radio Song, So Come Back I am Waiting, A Stone, Lost Coastlines, and Listening to Otis Redding at Home During Christmas to keep it short.

Heh, at the risk of sounding like the stereotypical /mu/tant; you should start with their first album. There's a story continued throughout three albums they've already put out. In order: Act I: The Lake South, The River North...Act II: The Meaning of, and All Things Regarding Ms. Leading...and Act III: Life and Death. If you can, listen to all three in succession, but if that's too daunting, just listen to Act I. Fuck, I'm gushing, sorry, I just really love this band. Hope you like them, bud.

Yeah they played Did You See the Words (off of Feels) at Pitchfork and I just so happened to be really getting into the album at the time. I haven't had a chance to check out some of the stuff pre-2004, but I am definitely looking forward to their new album (supposedly 2012). Danse Manatee was a disappointment though to me, I was looking forward to more Summertime Clothes-like sound rather than more reverb-y drawn out sound. Have you ever been to Pitchfork before?
