Ouch. I've been told I look like that dude before. Maybe I could go get work in hollywood as a lying, scheming weasel. Errr, ... no, I think that would be a producer, rather than an actor :-)

No problem, [url=http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_DTytH2dbH8k/TDDzL1cuHbI/AAAAAAAAAHI/J5LYJLvOBkQ/s1600/cap0689gx.gif]here[/here] it is larger! It's from the movie 'The Place Promised in Our Early Days', I really enjoyed it. Nice taste too!

Hi Mark, thanx a lot for your hints! I already had the chance to see Long Distance Calling live and I liked them a lot. Think I will buy some stuff of them soon. BTW, think I already listened to a lot of your top postrock titles, but none of them hit me as much as Eighteen Robins Road. But ok, that's what music is about, sometimes you just can't explain why you fell in love with a song.

A voice of reason on Genesis...am I high or is A Trick of the Tail an overlooked classic?

Thank you for your kind words! I started the very same. I used to enjoy heavy metal bands, but I started listening to post-rock to concentrate at school and depending on what mood I was in. Now I hardly listen to my old music at all! I really like your library, you have so many great artists on your charts!

I've just read your shout on the genesis page and that song definitely sounds familiar. It reminds me of a few genesis songs, but try listening to Fracture by King Crimson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YOdK7iFX-k . From 9:30, it sounds quite similar, I think. That ending also always reminds me of Genesis' Dance On A Volcano

Hi Mark. I've seen your shouts on many of the songs that I love, so it's not surprising that our tastes are so similar. Thanks for the request; glad to accept. Let me know if you come across any unusual post-rock tracks that you think are worth listening to - I'm always on the lookout for something new.

Exactly what I was thinking too.... shows how advanced thought was in the sixties and seventies! Held back by censorship.... unlike today , except we do not have the same thought processes!
