Mark, do you know if SW will be remixing "Fragile"? I have all his Yes remixes and they're superb. I am hopeful he will be able to rework Fragile and surpass the quality on the MFSL CD. Anyway, anything you've heard on that would be welcome. Thanks.

Still wish I'd seen the filling in the middle of the sandwich as well as the outer wrapper, but Tuesday's performance of Close to the Edge was still magnificent!

Davison sang it really well, and Steve Howe was still amazing. The only other time I saw them was a short set in '69 - somewhat different band then! - but I don't know how I missed going to see them in Manchester in the first half of the 70s! Shame that I missed Anderson and Wakeman in their prime though.

Finally got to see Yes again last night - very enjoyable (and nostalgic!) Close to the Edge was the highlight for me, but I wish they would play Relayer instead of Going for the One (not sure that Downes could manage this!)

Have you ever noticed how different high frequencies sound on "professionally produced" CD-Rs? Treble seems to be more abrasive, to "sizzle" more... I have noticed this on multiple occasions and the result is consistent when listening through speakers or headphones. Take Steve Unruh's CD-Rs for example - it sounds so obvious to me. Not that it's bothering me, but I have always wondered why...?

Just came back from the TAAB concert... what a great show! The band was in good shape and played really tight - I could easily see that the band had worked out all major glitches and were really confident playing the material. I hope some official recording of the show will get released - there's can never be enough good live material!

Thanks for the friendship. Great library! I also make music. I write in a progressive and blues vein as well as record solo classical pieces. Here is my last.fm musician page http://www.last.fm/music/David+Tisdell. I have a new original piece out, "The Doo Wop Minuet" It uses the "doo wop" chord progression and the baroque form of the minuet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoFWEdCccMI&feature=vmdshb Everything is also a free download here on last.fm

I was going through some of the 10 Wyatt albums I took last week from the Mediatheque - at the same time you were also playing Wyatt... Wonderfully weird stuff! As for Roy Harper - it's actually the other way around: Ian Anderson stated Harper was his "...primary influence as an acoustic guitarist and songwriter." An artist whose work is definitely worth exploring!
