Hi my friend! ;) I hadn't so much time, because of my final exams in high school, but everything is done and I'm waiting for the results. I hope, I get to the Finnish studies at the University of Warsaw. My life changed, but now I'm happy, because I do what I really want :) Recently I started a cooperation with a band called Reskrypt. My friends needed some help to promote their music, I was interested in their music skills and I thought I help them a little bit. Here's their fanpage: https://www.facebook.com/Reskrypt - they need likes to go on their first tour. You can listen their music here, there are 2 movies from the studio, but they need a support to make something more and go on stage. They won a music competition, but in Poland everything is harder. If you can, I'll be grateful for your help :) And what's about you?

(part 2): So the song is about how the hated conquerors torment local people and how the peasants are trying to fight back without much result (there were several rebellions during the hundreds of years of German rule). Sorry about the history lecture but I really felt like giving you some context. Pretty much all the songs by Metsatöll are about that era, 'the ancient fight for freedom' as we call it here. Oh and did you know Metsatöll means 'wolf'? (More like 'monster of the forest' word to word, but yeah :)

Wooooow, I am so happy to hear that! It means a lot to a nation as small as us - only around million people in the world speak Estonian at all :) You can read the English translation for Hiiekoda on that link (hit CC for subtitles) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2-We_3cRqE The song's title means sacred grove, a pagan place of worship were our ancestors sacrificed to and communicated with the old gods and nature spirits. Uku, Taara and Vanemuine, who are mentioned in the songs, are our pagan gods and the context of the song is 13th century when German crusaders invaded Estonia. They said it was to bring us Christianity, the real reason was of course economical gain. There was lots of fighting and violence, we lost and became totally oppressed in our own land, ruthlessly used as free work force for Germans. Also Christianity was forced upon very reluctant pagan population. (to be continued...)
