Hey hello, I'm doing a little survey: If you should pick one male musician and one female musician for an ideal collaboration, who would you combine together?

You get to talk to K. Dot members? Amazing! Yeah, Marcoeur is definitely the best discovery I made lately. His songs have an amazing charm about them/

If someone were to sell me a CD of that, it'd be an Offering I couldn't refuse ;)

I've heard A Fiieh, and while that's a stellar album, it wasn't exactly techno. I was referring to techno songs built around Magma samples, something which I know was done at least once or twice, but I've never been able to track down.

Heavenly. It sounds like my ideal Death Grips CD. .... And only medium compatibility..?

I'm positive there is in fact such a thing as Christian Vander techno, although I haven't been able to find any as of yet.

I wouldn't have it any other way. Clear-cut, well-defined reality is the worst of bores.

Cool cool, I wishlisted that album. Man, bummer. At least the Scriabin term paper sounds fascinating. Novmber/December is always the worst. And nice! I've heard of the others, but I haven't actually heard their music (except for Chance. Acid Rap is great). Haha, that's university in a nutshell. I'm guessing the hectic schedule gets in the way of creating independent music? And you have an RYM??? :O I'll be your friend.

Man, I have no idea. I've mostly been hanging out at RYM, and that's where I mostly talk to Daniel, but I haven't really been talking to anyone else from thee cool as hell /vinyl/ days. And I like that piece! Very unlike Webern's other stuff, but that's not a bad thing. Surprisingly tonal, delicate, and romantic. How've you been doing by the way? I've been getting into some Anthony Braxton lately myself, what do you think of him?

Bah, birthdays are overrated anyhow. Portuguese is great as well. Good to hear, man. There's no shortage of Japanese speakers in Hawaii, but I haven't really got the opportunity yet. Hm. Except for my Japanese teachers who yeah, like you said, seem flattered that someone takes an interest in their language. Or at least, they give off that impression. I remember one of my teachers talked about the Japanese language this way: That it is like hearing raindrops rhythmically fall on leaves. You know, with the way the words follow after each other like a beat. Striking image. That second point about "Why that language of all things" seems weird to me. I agree with you, languages are great, and there isn't an uninteresting language. Maybe that's why I find that question so weird.

Oh, cool, cool. For some reason I thought you were one year younger than me (unless you really are 18)? Yeah, it's a requirement for my school to take a language course for four semesters. Japanese is a pretty cool language (and so is German and French and...), but it's pretty hard. Memorizing kanji is difficult. That's too bad hearing about your frantic schedule, sounds like your college life is way busier than mine.

yeah fall's coming on round here as well. but it's cool. at least the heat's letting up. somehow summer's always nice for 2 weeks and then just drags on and on. just like university hah. anyway, hope you can get some energy back and some creative stuff started. been fighting with that a lot myself, not very successfully tho, alas the times i get focused and motivated enough to do something worthwhile in ableton are getting fewer and farther between. but i shouldn't complain really. things ain't that bad.

Yeah. Washington Philips has such passion and such a soothing voice and, whatever instrument he's using, I like it. Very distinctive and ethereal. Nice to hear that you're still working on that novel even though the illustrations part doesn't seem like it worked out. Too bad hearing about your summer, but are you enjoying college? Is it your first year? I'm currently in my second year and it's kinda stressful tbh, but that's mostly because of my Japanese class. I'm not so sure for right now. I think there's some buzz for Drake's new album and Eminem's upcoming and the eventual return of King Crimson, but not sure what else. Heck, I still have to listen to Deafheaven's new album. How've you been doing so far?

sure, a whole lotta stuff actually. mostly techno/house tho, idk how much you're into that. but if you're willing to go down that route, i can recommend huerco s. - colonial patterns (smoked out dub influenced house), octo octa - between two selves (lush, melancholic deep house), aoki takamasa - rv8 (glitch), felix k - flowers of destruction (industrial ambient drum'n'bass sort of?) and the dj sprinkles' queerifications & ruins. other than that you should definitely listen to my boy squanto's brilliant new album, burnt up on re-entry by boduf songs is the slowcore equivalent to happily crashing a space shuttle into the sun and ka's the night's gambit is for better or worse basically a hip-hop version of the white birch. there's a lot more, probs, i mean goddamn whatta year, just have a look around my last.fm/RYM and shit. i suck at these recommendation thingies. anyway how's shit going on your end?

Argument With David Rawlings Concerning Morrissey, easily. Really tho, I only listened to the album like twice but I guess Winding Wheel and In My Time of Need are p great. Album has a whole bunch of good tunes.

Oh, rad. Illustrated novel, eh? What's it about, if you don't mind me asking? And if you got any cool songs and such send 'em my way, I'd love to hear 'em. Haven't really been paying that much attention to 2013 either, really. Although Momoiro Clover Z's new album is tremendous, amazing, etc. if you're into art pop/J-pop. Paysage D'Hiver's new album is pretty all right, too.

Black Cab... I used to like it but it gets tiresome really quickly imo. There are loads of better songs on that album. Night Falls Over Kortedala is, without a doubt, my favorite. Sure it's overproduced and If I Could Cry is a stinker, but I absolutely adore it nonetheless. How are you enjoying 2013 so far? Heard any good albums?

Haha, I hope you drunkenly sang along (I know I would have)! Sounds like a good time. I don't think I've asked you this before also, but which is your favorite Lekman record? The debut, I'm guessing?

Also, I've been realizing I really genuinely enjoy Dir En Grey. I'm not sure what's wrong with me.
