I felt the exact same way about Morning Phase, but I think it's because it didn't come at the right time for me in my life. I did start playing it more at work, though, and I came to really enjoy it. You just can't expect it to get you up and dance like so much of his other stuff. It's almost like a sister-album to Sea Change, and I LOVE Sea Change! :)

I didn't enjoy the 2011 gig so much because I was really ill. I threw up loads of times on the way, somehow managed to hold it in whilst there, but nothing would stop me from seeing Tori! It was a weak setlist for me, too. The songs I was excited about I'd seen before. This one however was awesome, every song was perfect! I'm glad I went to London too as we got Wild Way and Invisible Boy. That's my 3 faves from that album over the two gigs. Manchester was better overall though I think!

It was amazing! May be my best Tori gig yet. I met her at the meet and greet and requested Taxi Ride at either Manchester or London. She played it at both and made me cry each time, that song means a lot to me. Aside from that the setlist was brilliant and she's even better solo than with a band. It felt intimate and was a great atmosphere. It made me want to follow her around Europe but I don't think I'll ever earn enough to be one of *those* Tori fans!

That's really gutting, sorry you didn't get some! I hope that she sees how much demand there is and adds more dates or something. The touting of tickets is disgusting, I'm glad they put something in to place so the named cardholder has to be there, but it didn't distract them :(

I like Morning Phase well enough, but not as much as Present Tense. I know a lot of people didn't like Beck's Sea Change either, but that's one of my favorite albums of his. You just have to remember that Beck never really does what's expected next, so I usually just take it for what it is and look forward to the next album all the same. I have not seen Wild Beasts live, are they pretty good?

I love it, too! Two Dancers is one of my favorite albums from college and I was really hoping Wild Beasts would be able to find that kind of boldness in writing again. Thankfully, Present Tense does the same thing. Two Dancers was such a great concept album, I'm glad to see they still have it!

Hey, good question. Not at all but the females appeal to me more. If I had alot more money I would be buying alot more cds and vinyl esp male artists. Blur have been on my cd player alot recently and slowly getting into Genesis! :)

Ah, im totally jealous now! Going to make it my goal to see them live at least once. Yeah, Wild Beasts are coming to Norwich, but they're coming up the same night as London Grammar (who i have a ticket to see), so I'm really conflicted! Though the teasing of new material might swing it....

I play music at home and at work. It helps me concentrate. I have my iTunes on shuffle so I never know what is going to play next. I'm hardly ever without music. It keeps me sane.

I've had a listen to Field of Reeds and I certainly won't be buying it - very disappointing. I may well get Hidden though and will certainly have a listen to their earlier stuff. Have you ever heard of a 1970s/80s band called Japan? Very similar to TNPs but musically more funk than folk.

I was so gutted to find they'd missed out Norwich - usually we get everyone, and we have a re-purposed church venue that would've been absolutely perfect for them acoustics-wise! On the topic of Baths, I gave Obsidian a listen but was a bit put off by the guy's voice. I seem to remember liking 'Miasma Sky' a little though.

Hello! It saddens me to say that Me Moan hasn't captivated me in half the ways All Hell did, which is sad, because I love an underdog and I was certain that this would be his breakout moment. I find half the vocal deliveries posed and the instrumentation lacks focus. While I can definitely see why people are gravitating to FoR - it is an amazing achievement for the band, of course - my heart lies with Hidden purely because of its percussive power, which is why I found myself drawn to the band all those years ago. Particularly on 'Dream' and 'Nothing Else', I feel like the music is simply trapped in an airlock. I adore the rest of the album though.

It's up to Low! How did you get that album cover & band name collage on your profile? They're pretty.

i would definitely say that i miss the exotic influences on DFD and Ghostory, but i think they're both amazing records - in fact, i think DFD has the best bunch of singles on it. Give it a bit of love, i'm sure you'll warm up to it! I don't think there were many dates for this tour, but last night they were brilliant.

i definitely think it's their most consistent record, although i've played it so much that i think i need a break from it! Each album is amazing in my opinion, but they both took a long time for me to get into most of the non-single tracks. With the new album i didn't have that problem. In what ways do you not like Disconnect From Desire? And yes, i saw Wild Beasts last August, and they were absolutely brilliant. As a matter of fact i'm actually seeing them again tomorrow night, so i'm looking forward to that!

haha landed myself in it there didn't i!? well i've heard of people getting films delvivered days earlier than release date, so i was a bit disheartened when it came so late, but to be honest i'm just glad that i'm finally listening to it! i have to admit i was slightly worried about their growth in sound, because i was a massive fan of the theatricality, the growls and falsettos, and the basslines that defined their earlier work. But after a few listens through, i'm absolutely loving 'Smother'! Though i would agree that it is quite the slow burner, but i don't mind that at all! I'm particularly loving 'Reach A Bit Further' at the moment... They're headlining one of the festivals im going to this year so i cannot wait to see them! I've youtubed their live performances and they are simply astounding! Oh, and i'm incredibly jealous that you've been to SxSW - it's become somewhat of a dream of mine to get there someday!

James Vincent McMorrow LIKE! He does have a Bon Iver voice, Justin does it better though. I'll give the album a listen and let you know what I think. Yeah, I'm liking James Blake more and more. Have you heard Benjamin Francis Leftwich (excessive name) he's one of Tom's school friends, he's got an alright voice.

It is an interesting album, I didn't know where I was when I first listened it through, he doesn't seem to stick to one sound if that's clear? I think the title tracks parts 1 &2 are excellent then again I'm a sucker for instrumentals. Wye Oak is nice, might take a few more listens, what's the rest of the album like? Oh here's one for you, have you heard James Blake's album? It's growing on me but I've just read a review that compared him to Bon Iver and Antony Hegarty, I don't know what album they are listening to but because he uses auto-tune he's automatically like Justin Vernon? x

Interestingly, last.fm has now changed its mind and deemed our musical compatibility to be 'very high'. Must be all the 'Kid A' I've been listening to... ;)
