Hey! Serendipitous meeting here. As for your question, I'd say my music tastes have diversified. I'm constantly on the search for new listens -- constantly, so I'm finding stuff that I like and finding stuff with sounds that I like that leads me down other paths, so you end up with these wide array of new musicians and songs that you like because your ear sort of trains itself to what "sounds good." There's just so much music out there, and I've got self-admitted fear of missing out (or FOMO as they call it these days) for that, that stuff that I wouldn't have touched back then I've been conditioned into appreciating (relating back on the training the ear thing.) I see we've got Bjork and some others in common. Haven't heard of your top artist, but I'll check them out since I'm so curious now! And nice to meet you too :D

Hello again :-) Yes, incredible how much new music comes out daily, and we have only 24h :-( I think anything can sound "good", it just depends on our moods (e.g. when I wanna relax I certainly won't listen metal), environment (am I in a train, or in my car?), and our "history" (I am sure where we both stand now, our past self from 20 years ago would not like our musical taste :-))... How do you discover new things? I normally use lastfm and spotify

I use last.fm and Spotify too. I used to lean more heavily on last.fm until I'd listened to a lot of the related artists of my top plays, lol. But Spotify has been a godsend for broadening my musical horizons. I've discovered musicians I never would've discovered without it that just hit that spot, and I'll often feel so relieved that I did end up finding them. But I agree that music is really heavily dependent on mood. My baseline mood is very, uh, odd I guess, so I never really have the moments where I decide, "Hey, I wanna listen to something relaxing since that's how I feel," because of the many, many screws that are loose between the ears, but when I was younger, my mood was a really big dictator of what I listened to. Now, it's more of a sense of urgency of needing to just find music that pleases me. I think I've got Obsessive Music Compulsive Disorder :D But hey, as far as compulsions and fixations go, music ain't that bad. Hoping 2019 brings it musically!

Yes, spotify has a huge archive, incredible... When we are young, we make many errors, hope we learn from those, though :-) ... Don't let your OMCD get treated, it's good to have :-) Thank you, wishing you a great, musical Monday...
