Ive got way too many books. I deliberately reading a lot at the moment so I can get rid of the ones I know I wont go back to - my local Marie Curie shop loves me at the moment as theyve got a steady supply of books coming in lol. I havent got the last Panphage tape but I loved the S/T and Aett Loka.

I read a helluva lot, Ive got a long commute to work so I generally get through at least one book a week on the train alone. The department Im now in "goes live" today so Im hoping it wont be too stressful. JHGOTD are instrumental doom, really good stuff. I saw them live on Sunday and they were amazing.

It was a cheap label sampler that I picked up in the mid 90s (that makes me feel old lol). That some good stuff on it, nowt unreleased, though. The ATG albums I sold were "With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness", "Slaughter of the Soul" and "Terminal Spirit Disease". About 10 years ago I sold so much great stuff, I need to find a tardis, travel back in time and go "DONT FUCKING SELL THEM YOULL REGRET IT!!" lol. Ill try and get the CD, thanks for the info matey :)

Ah, those tracks are from an old Peaceville comp called "Under the Sign of the Sacred Star". I seem to be entering a second teenage and have been revisiting loads of the stuff I loved when I was in secondary school ha ha. Oh boy, how much do I regret selling all my old Paradise Lost, At the Gates, Bolt Thrower and Morta Skuld stuff now *facepalm*. Aye, Nick Holmes vocals were amazing back then, though I have to admit I still love Icon and Draconian Times as well. That Rippikoulu track is absolutely amazing, Ill have to grab some of their stuff.

Hiya Jon, Im canny thanks, and you? Thanks for that track, Id given up hope for any new Vrolok stuff. Its def got a nice doomy feel to it, its a nice surprise but theyll never beat the material on Soul Amputation (for me, at least). Hopefully a full length will emerge at some point in the near future :) Oh, have you heard anything from the new Morbid Angel yet? I mate posted me a link to "Too Extreme", its fucking diabolical

Its the "Call of the Winterslippers" (even by my low standards that was a crap attempt at an Immortal pun). Aye, I can def recommend that ID album. Section XIII seem to put a lot of effort into their releases, I got the special edition version and the packaging is incredible. Ive given Grifteskymfning a listen and really njoyed what Ive heard so far so Ill most likely buy something now (thank god Ive just been paid lol). Aye, the first Azrael album is where the track is from.

Allo mister, hey no worries, I still haven't replied to your email so its me who should be apologising to you lol. Im so impressed by the new Aosoth, its by far their most accomplished work yet. Hmmm, probably the best new band Ive come across recently is Ignis Divine, some of the best Dark Ambient Ive heard for a while: http://www.myspace.com/ignisdivine1 Hope you liked the Vrolok album, if you buy Azrael get "Into the Shadows: Act I", its amazing!

Hey. Yes, I enjoy his piano works quite a bit. Nice charts, as well. I see some black metal and must admit I'm not a big fan, though there are a few really nice bands that I like. The last Necros Christos is pretty good, I see you enjoy it too.

Hello there. Likewise, nice charts. A lot of bands I've never heard. I have just recently been exploring black metal a bit more though, wasn't much of a fan until recently and even now I'm pretty picky about it.

The poster is on the wall now, and very fine it looks too. I love a bit of Urfaust, I like their use of classical instrumentals, so many bands try to do it but they have such a cack handed approach they fail miserably. Plus I like Xs vocals. I agree theyre hard to pigeonhole ha ha. I dont mind Oz Clarke to be honest but I have to admit Ill watch anything with James May in it. It was the Newcastle Camra festival we went to. we were a bit tipsy and ended up in near hyseterics over a photo in a tattoo magazine that looked like Sue Pollard from HiDiHi lol.

Definitely, I havent heard a band "do" classical so well since the early Urfaust albums. Im curious to know who they are, mind. Oh I got the poster too, I loved it, its going in a frame on the wall. I really enjoyed that Kathaarian/Norns split. I have to confess that Im one of the many people who saw it in distros and thought "Ill get it next time, more fool me because it was excellent. Oooh, I like your idea of a microbrewery - did you watch any of those "Oz and James Drink to Britain" programmes when they were on? Making your own brew seems like such fun lol. Talking of beer I was at a beer festival with my mate on Friday, much beer was drank and much fun was had :D

Aye, I guess homeworking must have its drawbacks but it must be nice not having to answer to anyone. Whilst I dont want to lose my job Im not going to lose sleep over the possibility of it happening. Im well overdue for a change and Ive come through worse than anythign Sunderland Council can throw at me. I got the package - thanks for the Kathaarian/Norns 7". That Castrum Doloris ep is absolutely amazing. Irreverent are pre Black Witchery, very raw and lo-fi.

Oh, you lucky man, how I envy you. What do you do? Im a drone for Sunderland council (for the moment, anyway, until they decide to lay us all off lol). As well as your package Im also expecting the Irreverent LP/&" from Kramer and that Obtained Enslavement demo reissue LP. Im on a flexi day (the one good thing about working in local government) so Im planning on bumming around all day and maybe even doing a bit of hoursework (oh, the horror).

Mornin' matey! Ive had four (FOUR DAMMIT) cards stuck through my letterbox this week so hopefully theyre one of the packages Im off to collect today. Im so glad I ordered them when I did as it seems that everyone has sold out of the Castrum Doloris 7". Hows you then? Not at work?

Im so glad I was too young to understand when all that shit was happening. Dying in a nuclear blast has got to be such a horrible way to go. I got quite into Nuclear War films a few years ago (From Threads through to When the Wind Blows), theres just something about it that fascinates me. Ive just seen your email - I cant wait to order those 7"s, they look amazing. I think Ill get that Castrum Doloris 7" as well.

Aye, I guess looking like "the evil one" is good, I wouldve been more chuffed if she was hot, though lol. Ive got to admit that I know nothing about war films; horror, explotation, cheesy old school martial arts and general trash are more my thing. That said, Ill give anything a watch (except chick flicks and rom-coms, even I have standards). That Russian film looks excellent. Ive just remember somethign else to recommend, have you seen Threads? I saw this as a kid and its kinda haunted me ever since: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8E9fwQ1Ylw Oddly enough the bit that disturbed me the most is where the woman pees herself with fright. Well, I can definitely recommend Aeoga, Arktau Eos is still my favourite of the "Helixes" collective but its all good stuff.

Ah, youve never lived until youve had a bit of Nunsploitation in your life. Actually, when it comes to this sort of stuff its probably best to start with something reasonably classy like Ken Russell The Devil before moving down to the really trashy stuff heh heh. Actually heres a trailer for Alucarda (Ive been told I look a bit like the evil dark haired lass - not true!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcbWjdshbFE Ive got the CD version of Nachthymnen so thatll do me for the moment. Ive only got 2 Arktau Eos album but theyre excellent, Mirrorion is probably the best, though (for my tastes, anyway).

Im a bit of a sucker for Abigor as well, its got to be Nacthymnen for me, though. Ooh, where to start with film recommendations. Apart from The Church, try Susperia, Profondo Ross/Deep Red (two of Argentos best films), Alucarda (top Mexican nunsploitation), and The Holy Mountain by Alejandro Jodorwsky.

Ha ha, I see youre revisiting CD2 already. Looking back I went a bit overboard with the UKBM on that one. Oh yeah, Blood Revolts vocalist is Alan from Primordial believe it or not. Youll probably end up having to download the Rex Mundi album (if you want it that is), Ive never seen the bugger anywhere. Ooh, good choice with The Seventh Seal!

Ill get your comp posted off today as Ive got a couple pf days off work *smug* Good thinking about the tracklist, Ill email it off today. You need to see The Church, its an amazing film. Heres a trailer (bearing in the mind it makes the film look far cheesier than it actually is lol): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPjRCzBR9uc The Church soundtrack is quite a mixed bag as there a lot of Goblin tracks on there as well.

Ha ha, it sounds like I may be following the same path as you if Ive started with the same composers. I loved most of the stuff on the second CD, I was familiar with Philip Glass as Ive heard some of his stuff used on soundtracks (The Church being the one that springs to mind). Oh, before I forget Ive done your comp, could you send me your address. Ill have to handwrite the tracklist as my printer is knackered. Hope thats ok.

Whoa, that Konx Om Pax thing is a complete headfuck, at first glance I thought it was one of those ambigram things lol. Im listening to the comp now and really loving Raplh Vaughan Williams. Im going to stickthe CDs on my Ipod so I can lie in the dark and listen to it properly. Ill make a start on your comp today. Has your KOP CD shown up yet?

Hi matey, Spearhead are very good Blackened Death (cliched description, I know but it suits their style well) and theyre well worth a go. Hopefully youll like Knox Om Pax when it eventually turns up (he needs to take a leaf out of your book and post mega fast lol). I have to admit I dont know why they used "knox" - quite possibly a typo that stuck heh. Oh, the CD arrived in Sunderland today so Ill get it in a few days. Ta muchly :)

Azziard, Im not familiar with them. Ill have to check them out. I see you checked out Faustcoven, brilliant band. One of the best Norse bands at the moment for me. If you havent checked out Embrace of Thorns give them a go, amazing bestial BM from Greece. Are you coming to the Armageddon Fest next week?

I had a brilliant time at the gig but the surprise of the night was Remasculate; Im not normally massively into Grind but they were fantastic. I only saw half of AOPs set as I was outside talking but from what I saw they were very, very good! I have to confess Im not massively familiar with Lonndom but I might have to check them out as I love Armagedda and Ive a massive soft spot for Borknagars early stuff.

Hi, yeah I did an order with Black Devastation Records recently and they sent me a free label sampler, there was some pretty good stuff on there, Odal and Sojaruun being the standout bands for me. I loved the Dodsengel album, I had really high hopes for it and it didnt disappoint! Im off to see Wodensthrone and Axis of Perdition tonight, really looking forward to it!
