Thank you Ari! Would love a reunion of Meatjack.. just to see them live. Although I said after Skepticism live I could die. Unbeatable. You list remind me to listen to Tom Waits once again. Otherwise I listen every autumn Waits.

I know whatcha mean. Certainly better than that rubbish ECM stuff, bluuurgh xP Fusion jazz stuff always leaves a bad taste in my mouth, with the Davis stuff being the only exception :( And yeah, Psychomagia definitely tops the Zorn game this year, I was floored by how good it is, usually I'm not as big a fan of his surf/jazz-rock-y stuff, but damn... I also love the title track of The Alchemist though, that's one of his finest classical pieces *-*

I love some of his songs, but most of them are forgettable honestly. but when he gets it right, it's really brilliant, in songs like house of the rising sun and motherless children. I haven't listened to him enough either and hopefully I'll get into the rest of his stuff though

They don't sound much like MBV. Sure, there is an element of shoegaze in their music, but they're more post-punk than anything else. Dreamy music, but not all pretentious over-the-top dreamy, hahaha. Would definitely recommend you to check out their Psychocandy album, as a start. Can't confirm you'd enjoy it, but I'd give em a shot :)

Plus I am familiar with her sexual abuse, and it would be stupid to judge her when I can relate on a certain level with her.

In response to your comment on Lydia's music profile, asshole is meant to be taken loosely, and I do not let others twisted opinions persuade my own. It was just a generalization, not to be taken seriously! I appreciate her music history and enjoy her Teenage Jesus and duet works.
