hey there, I was wondering if there's any way you could send me the new Baddies album? I see you're listening to it right now! :) I'm willing to buy an album for you in return. Just to return the favor somehow. let me know what you think :)

What's up Pete. Remember how I said that you got me into The Sleepover Disaster and The Fatales? All because I caught you listening to them and I liked the sound of their names enough to listen myself. Well you've done it again. Saw you listening to Sun Airway last night, who I'd never heard of before, but the band name appealled to me so much I thought what the hell. And whaddya know...they're ace! Kinda like The Radio Dept., but more upbeat and euphoric. Many thanks.

Just looked at your About Me section: I had no idea Broken Records had a new album coming out! That's cause for celebration.

Hope you enjoyed your trip to Sweden. There's been all kinds of great music coming out from there this year. The Radio Dept., The Mary Onettes, Club 8, Sambassadeur; the country is on a roll. I've heard the debut several times and it sounds a bit too close to pastiche for my liking, but I think they've definitely stepped things up for Islands.

The Strange Death Of Liberal England finally have an album coming out! Pretty sweet huh? And you're from Newcastle right? There's a geordie band called Detroit Social Club who released their debut album not too long ago and it's terrific. Kinda like Kasabian clashed with The Verve, but a more bit more mystic/epic. If that sounds like your kind of thing then just say so and I'll send it to you. The copy that's all over the internet is shit so I bought it, I've got the good stuff ;)

Wow, that's unexpected news, considering Feeder usually take a long time between albums, coupled with the fact that they were dropped by their label. Looks like they found their bearings quite quickly. Must admit, I'm not too impressed by the new song, not in the slightest, but fingers crossed.

Excellent stuff, thanks for the heads up. I'll have to do a bit of investigating and check it out, I hope they announce a release date for the album soon. God, it's been years since the mini-album.

Yep, new songs AND a disc containing all their music videos. That's a big draw for me, they have some ace videos: 'Sky Starts Falling', 'Pounding', 'Kingdom Of Rust'. As for Renegades, hmm I heard a couple of songs and was unimpressed to be honest. I appreciate that they're heavier sounding, but it sounds a bit too simplistic to me. I'm sure Feeder's next album will still be excellent though.

Looking forward to that Doves best-of album out in April? The three disc set looks pretty essential to me. I hear the new single is supposed to be all kinds of ace too.

Ahh, ace news man, it's about frickin' time! Look forward to getting it finally. And shirley that has got to be a contender for best album artwork of the year too.

I'll bear with it then, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a dissapointment right now. They should have gone crazier, not the other way. And if Tom Bellamy doesn't have any say in the studio then it's a waste, he's a massively talented multi-instrumentalist, he could contribute a lot. Awwww, TCTC need to get back together already!

Hmm on first listen I'm not too impressed, it's not as demented as Visiter and I miss that. But thats only first impressions and nothing concrete so I'll keep on listening. I just headed over to the White Belt myspace page and I'm liking what I hear. I didn't pay as much attention to their EP as I should have but 'You're Not Invincible' is undoubtedly brilliant and I knew they were well worth keeping an eye on. The new single is really good as you say but 'Ode' is my favourite. Now I'm super psyched for an album, bring on Methods!. What's the deal with Tom Bellamy, is he an actual official member of the band? I don't see him in any promotional shots, his name isn't on display anywhere. Maybe he's lurking.

Thanks a bundle for the pm, I'm getting the album right now. I've noticed you've listened to it all already, any good? Concerning Tigers That Talked, an album sampler surfaced on the internet yesterday that has 'BH,BE', a re-recorded '23 Fears' and 3 new songs. Might wanna seek it out, it's all great stuff. Album is called The Merchant.

Sorry dude, my bad. I should have said, the link does work but I deliberately put a space between mega and upload, otherwise it comes up as spam. Just close the gap in the link and it'll work. So much for me thinking Tigers That Talked were a "new band" if you were checking out demo's by them that far back! Anyway, they have an album penned for release later this year apparently, I expect it to be nothing short of excellent.

Hey Pete, The Fatales are fantastic aren't they. So atmospheric and eerie sounding. I've only listened through Great Surround twice but I can already tell it'll be a firm favourite of mine this year. Oh, and if you want a recommendation then check out new band Tigers That Talked, I think they're excellent. You can hear some songs by them at this link, 'Black Heart, Blue Eyes' is especially good. http://www.mega upload.com/?d=F2PHXJMM

Ah cool, that kind of came out of nowhere. Another score for rush-releases. I'll be sure to check it out at some point today although I'm not sure if I'll buy the thing.

Thanks for the news on The Twilight Sad, woooo new album!! If iLiKETRAiNS don't get around to following-up Elegies this year and at least I know I'll have these guys to depress the shit out of me. Sorry, I'm not really digging Telegraphs. It's not that they're bad or anything, they just don't suit my tastes. They remind me somewhat of Grammatics and...in my case that just isn't a good thing. On the other hand, you may not know it but you got me into The Sleepover Disaster, I saw you were listening to them and I liked their name so I decided to check them out on a whim. Hover is stonking stuff so thanks for that.

Cheers dude, I hope you liked their album. I'll check out Telegraphs at some point today and tell you what I think. I'd do it now but I'm in the middle of an album and I don't want to pause it and kill the ambiance!

Hey Pete! You really should get in on some of this Leaves action. I know how much you're fond of Doves and Leaves are like the Icelandic equivalent. Their new album We Are Shadows has just been released and I think you'd really love it.

I am aware of them but didn't know they had new songs up on their myspace, cheers for that. They're not bad but ideally Sam and Simon should go and reform HOTS and Jon should go reform The Open and then all will be right with the world.

Thanks for the heads-up dude, I guess that means The Cooper Temple Clause won't be reforming anytime soon then :( I checked their myspace page anyhoo and I really like You're Not Invincible. So I take it they've moved up from a duo to a three piece then.

hey, I noticed that you had a listen to JKLMNO at some point in the past, we're new to Last FM, so there's probably a few tracks on her now that you've never heard before, so have a listen if you're interested, cheers.

I purchased the iLiKETRAiNS album from www.recordstore.co.uk the other day purely for the fact that you get a free book full of essays detailing what each song is about. Makes for a fascinating read. Suicide, plague, assassinations, massacres...surely the party album of 2007! Well worth a look if you're a fan of the band.
