You inspired me to check out Pineapple Thief....never knew anything about them... I'm a big fan of anything different and tasteful and PT fits the bill for both. I think they're very similar to Blackfield/P Tree, which I enjoy considerably. Thanks for that. Added to my faves. Mostly an old time Genesis fan and starting to see that what they (and others) started continues on....just wish I could play it myself!! Thanks for the intro to new and great stuff!!!

Well heres hoping for success for them so they can get over there soon. As for the best song on the night I would say probably 'The World I Always Dreamed Of' but have to say the whole gig was excellent. The talking from where I was standing was ok, but being a small place I can imagine it could have been bad towards the back as I go there regularly and it can be a pain. The admission price was very low, only 4 pounds, and the locals dont mind paying that to get a drink even if they are not interested in the band. From what I can gather though reading the forum it was the merchandise guy that was doing most of the talking. I am back out there today for the Pendragon Mega Daze as they are calling it. They are launching the new album so it was a must for me. Take care. Steve

Cheers !! Can say the same for you. Have you managed to see The Pineapple Thief yet? I saw them last weekend in in a small bar 3 miles from where I live they were excellent as always and I have to agree with CHORUS below they should be huge. Catch some pics I left on the TPT forum or on my myspace pics page. Steve

I actually came across Porcupine Tree when a friend of mine from Boston told me about them. I was a bit bummed out, because I loved classic rock, and I couldn't find any modern bands that weren't completely garbage compared to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Rush, etc ... (I was 14 at the time, and I really hadn't looked beyond MTV rock&roll). I listened to Blackest Eyes, and I was instantly hooked. They were actually my first real modern progressive band, and my love for them sprouted obsessions with related acts, eventually Marillion. How are you liking the new album?
