I found you looking at the Keiji Haino page. I noticed your avatar. And by god, I love your taste.

I can only say so many superlatives about the Keiji Haino show but his crescendo at the end of his set definitely bested My Bloody Valentine's 20 minute cacophony on You Made me Realise (live). And to think it was a single person making all those crunchy textures! Its honestly difficult to describe into words what Keiji Haino gifted us with but this article, at least the first paragraph, captures what high audio frequencies does to you. http://www.dhalgren.com/Doom/ch03.html

I actually traveled from California to Montreal mostly for Keiji Haino. I was previously thwarted from seeing him at ATP due to the airline I was traveling with cancelling my flight because of the poor conditions in England and now hes in North America I couldn't pass up the opportunity! I'd be content if Haino is on the electric the entire time but his discography is so varied. I would love it if he combined some of his performance with his theatrical background and maybe some ethnic instruments he has used in his past recordings. Anyways, I noticed you went to see Oren Ambarchi recently. He's coming to the west coast next month and I was wondering if he was worth seeing?

Yeah, I was concerned about the first few minutes since he was droning the same note but when that massive kick drum came in...I started putting in my ethymotic earplugs lol. I hope you also went to the following A/V presentation, Murcof + AntiVG evoked the cosmos with their performance. Your fortunate to live in a place like Montreal where they seem to have multiple festivals going on all at once! This week alone you have a theater, bike race, and electronic festival. Anyway before I get anymore envious, do you plan on seeing Keiji Haino, Volcano the bear and Borbetomagus next week? I wish I could stay the entire Suoni Per il Popolo as well but Hanged up can wait I suppose...
