Also I noticed you listen to Blawan. What a twisted, forward thinking producer/DJ. Love that guy. Dark and punishing techno.

Dude it really bums me out. Never thought I would see the day Brick Squad was no more. It's really hard to figure out what actually has been happening but it's ugly, especially the bit about Waka's mom paying for the defense lawyer in the Slim Dunkin trial.

I actually haven't heard it yet, I just haven't been feeling rap music lately so I haven't been paying attention. I'll def have to check it out though.

Yeah I've been listening to DA a long time, they're great. I'll check that tape out too, man. Good lookin out.

Going through one of my all metal all the time phases. Mostly just digging into parts of the past I've never checked out before. Do you like doom metal? If so Magic Circle's self titled LP is really good.

Haha yeah I've seen that Yung Lean kid. It's like white euro Lil B pretty much with better production.

Yeah actually I'm not a Jay-Z fan at all either haha. The production on MCHG is pretty cool but his flow is boring to me most of the time. A couple okay songs.

New tapes from Mr. Motherfuckin eXquire and Alley Boy are great. Jeezy put out an EP with some Doughboyz Cashout songs on it that are great. On the death metal front, Lantern - Below and Abyssal - Novit Enim Dominus Qui Sunt Eius are newish and good if you're into the darker stuff. Abyssal is like Incantation meets Portal.

Sup mane. If he has a new one I haven't heard it. I've always kinda lumped him in with Future, in that they don't function all that well on their own but are a lot of fun featured in a song. If you're liking it I'll look into it tho.

Speaking of Memphis, Gangsta Boo dropped a new tape out of nowhere. It def has that 90s memphis horrorcore sound to it.

I've yet to hear the French, apart from a little of the track he's done with the Weekend. I must admit the beats on that sound excellent.

Good lookin out man. I put that mix on at work the other day, loved it. Montana finally dropped Excuse My French, gotta say. I love it. Just too damn fun.

The best Z-Ro albums are probably The Truth Be Told and Z-Ro vs. The World, but he brings something a little different each time, different people like different things. As far as Memphis stuff goes I'm not really an expert. Early Three 6 shit (Mystic Stylez is great) and all the people associated with them, Koopstah Knicca, etc. Evil Pimp is good too. Really dark, mystical sounding shit. SpaceGhostPurrp is heavily influenced by this shit, if you're familier with his music.

I listened to Acid Rap and I didn't really dig it all that much, I'll probably give it another chance later on. Harry Fraud is one of those OF kids right? Not really into their vibe.

Also, if you haven't checked out Kevin Gates - The Luca Brasi Story you definitely should. Gates is gonna be huge soon, I guarantee it.

Been listening to a lot of Houston/Memphis stuff lately. You like Shlohmo right? You might like this mix I've been listening to A LOT lately. http://soundcloud.com/dubbeldutch/dubbel-dutch-slow-club-mix

I'm pretty blown away by it actually. It's pretty bizarre. I mean, I don't think I'll ever really listen to it but hearing Beyonce say "Shout out to Pimp C" made my life.

You know I have. Shit is good. 2 new Gucci tapes today by the way, Trap Back 2 is especially good. Speaking of good I noticed you're down with that Shlohmo EP. I love that stuff. One of my favorite producers.

Riff cracks me up, he's a genius. I still cannot believe he signed to Mad Decent for like...an 8 album deal. Fucking insane! Marc Jacobs is my cut. Where should I start with Lil Reese? Love all those chicago kids but I've never really checked him out.

He's just fun, and that's really all I ask for from a rapper. 2 Chainz is trying to be that guy, but he's kind of boring. He isn't weird enough.

I can't decide whether I love or hate the hook on that Doesn't Matter track. French Montana is so ridiculous.

Glad you're diggin the screw. Dude is a legend for sure. I have to be in the right mindset to listen to Portal or it just sounds like a bunch of evil bees to me.

I couldn't even begin to pick a best Gucci tape, my love for his work goes too deep. Trap God and I'm Up are both from 2012 and both fire, especially Trap God. I've been listening to The Burrprint 3D a lot recently as well.

Oops, forgot a couple points. Ufommamut are cool if you're into the more trippy/experimental side of stoner doom. I would really recommend the Zoroaster - Matador album for that and the band U.S. Christmas. If you're looking for some new bangers try checking out this mix I put together. https://www.dropbox.com/s/dgf1hiteandrzql/DOPE_SHIT_VOL_1.zip
