Hey, I just discovered The Pogues and seen that you have over a 1,000 scrobbles on my friends list, which do you think is their best album? I have Spotify and they have about 7 albums to listen too, so far I am really enjoying Hell's Ditch.

Hi, my recommendations are : From Asturias: Hevia, Corquieu, Tejedor, Llangres . From Galicia: Berroguetto, Fia Na Roca, Xose Manuel Budino, Uxia . And the band from Madrid Spain: La Bruja Gata (they are connected to the group Castilla) . But I still need to listen to more artists .

Hello Smew, thanks for dropping by :-) How are you doing? Here's a small present to get our chat started: did you ever see your account picture/avatar at another user's page? e.g. look at LessThanLiz's neighbour page at position: 2, You've more like these, at least 6 other neighbours... Such pages might also help you find interesting, new music. And with the help of the assistant (aka artist recommender) you can assess these musical partners even better.

Do you also like simply Irish folk?In Hungary we have some bands who played this kind. For ex. Édain, whose lyrics mostly come from James Joyce's poems + they plays folk of course. (If you may find it interseting) I found a lot of bands in your library, that might be intersting for me!

Anyway what American and Irish bands did you mean? Thats also very strange if I write the tag 'irish' to search last.fm firstly throw out Dropkick Murphys(as i know they're rather American, but have a lot of Irish trad.songs)

As I see you know Firkin. But this band plays without bagpipe. I met their music in a festival last year. I think they formed last year and their first CD went out also in 2009. There are 2 other bands in Hungary: Rat Boys and BlackRiders. You can find may more infos there:http://celticfolkpunk.blogspot.com/2009/05/vol-x-hungary.html
