Sounds fantastic -if not frustrating! I have a (somewhat limited) record collection myself. When you have spotify (and digital media in general) who needs anything else?! A shame, but indeed a sign of the times! I'm reading a book about the Pixies at the moment, "Fool the World." -it's making me miss the days of swapping mix tapes with friends. Sigh!

Hi, Following a conversation here http://www.oontz.ru/2010/08/28/water-pump/ I gather you've used the Roland CS-10EM mics and not been totally satisfied. I've been trying to find out a bit more about these mics, so any comments you have would be appreciated. Cheers, Peter

Cool - sounds good man! Haha - my About Me sounds more glamourous that it is - i'm just a mac/pro tools/logic pro/music geek...keeps me out of trouble! I love the bad_sector myspace - some very impressive/inventive music - lots of resampling on an SP-404 if i'm not mistaken? What DAW/sequencer are you using? I couldn't hear much guitar going on in your tracks - but i see you've picked up a lot of synth/sampling/programming skills to compensate! Nice work

Hey Ollie, The new Children of the Drone compilation (no. 7) is now available for free download at http://www.last.fm/music/Children+of+the+Drone/Compilation+no.+7. This is probably our most ambitious work to date - all improvisations recorded in 2008. Enjoy! p.s. i've been checking out some obscure Sun Ra footage on YouTube - there's loads, and it's amazing (if you hadn't noticed)...

I listened to them tracks earlier, I like them. You should really do some more when you have time. It's pretty good, I to also find myself having to put music on the back burner when I'm really busy in work. But recently I've re-inspired myself and done a shed load of recordings.

Hah, yes I will check your playlist when I get a chance. Glad you liked the radio man, I've downloaded the first 4 tracks of your music so I'll clear some time today to listen to them. God knows what the live version of Chaka Kahn's feel for you is like. But when you listen to that tune don't you feel like it cuts off too short and there should be at least another 5 minutes after it fades.

Oh yeah man, recently I've been flicking back and forth from Electro Pop / Synth and Hi NRG Disco to the normal Avant Garde and outsider music stuff via punk. Heh, I 'love' tracks a lot when I'm drunk and online, so if there is some suprises in there don't judge me heh ;-). Although you loved Cyndi Lauper recently it says so I guess you're ready. Enjoy! How are you?

Hi Ollie. Our musical compatibility is... low. But that's probably because I seem to listen to "Hugh John Noble" a lot more than you. A lot more than anybody on earth in fact. And sometimes I like to touch myself as I do. In front of a mirror. Not really. Anyway. How are you? It was good to see you, albeit briefly, last weekend. Hugh

The hostel was fine. I was up early though and headed back on the 8.30 train! Did anyone decide to go to Boris tonight?

Hey dude. It was good to see you too, had good fun. It wasn't that early I don't think, about 12. We retired to the sitting room and you got left behind due to your sleepy state. You didn't miss much, a tedious convo on the topic of religion and death. PARTY. Come back soon xxx

yes indeed, although the last few hours of last fm are prob a bit inaccurate as i left my player on by mistake, i didn't realise the music was still on as i have shitty speakers in my laptop and tend to listen to everything on headphones....but can't wait for the gig...it s gonna rock the boat!
