nice :) and yeah, I agree, it's solid, but nothing special... yeah, I've listened to it once or twice and really enjoyed it, but I don't have it on my iPod yet so I haven't really given it the attention it deserves. sounds great, I'm kinda jealous of you guys in the states for having so many great bands playing all the time...

really dig them, I haven't heard everything they've done, but most of it at least...the one's I'm really familiar with are Tennessee and 1372 Overton Park (I think that's the number :P ). I wish they'd play around here sometime... btw, did you ever get that Barbe album?

Yes I know I'm awesome but thanks for reminding me :P Oh you mean the video! Yes it was awesome, as was the whole show. To answer your question from before: I've actually never seen a show at Subterranean...ya think I would have by now with all the shows I go to, but no. But I can help with directions, it's in Wicker Park I believe. Just let me know douchey.

How is the new Drive By Truckers album? I forgot to mention, when we saw Dawes in Minneapolis, they were playing Brighter Than Creation's Dark before the set.

I will amend my last statement to say, get the fuckin' Dawes record. Amazing, if not somewhat of a grower. Kind of The National of alt-country.

Because I go a year between shouts... I've listened to the Dawes record about 30 times in the past few weeks. I have a lot of faith in these guys. Seeing them this Friday. The Deep Dark Woods was pretty good, too.

I'd recommend you to start with Time Bomb High School it's my favourite record of theirs... All of their records are great though, start with that at least, Love and Curses sounds kinda like it, Too Much Guitar is more garage punk with, well, too much guitar, and Break Up...Break Down is pretty much a country rock record, it doesn't sound much like the rest of their stuff but it's almost as great.

I like that one at least, haven't gotten around to listening to anything else yet...what's their best stuff?
