Thanks for the compliment. As far as music goes I've been in an exploring phase with different sounds from different regions. As far as friends go even though my profile says it was started on Dec 2012, I really only have been active since last year...and even then I really only have been scrobbling and not much else. I haven't activately looked for friends here but I should start making more of this site. Jun Mayuzumi, popular artist from late 60s Japan and one of the great ones I don't know about her story life though but I might be able to help you with something.. Feel free to ask anything anytime. I may not respond to you on time due to my activity but I'll get to you. I won't feel bothered. :)

Miss you, Chad! I see you've been listening to Joao's self-titled '73(?) album. Damn, I love that one too. Happy new year xx

Ohhh yes it's incredible. Don't quote me just yet, but I think it's better than the first one. Get that wallet out right now (and slip me some for this review too).

Since you listen to Khmer oldies you may also like reading my article on Cambodian music. http://www.laboratoriummuzycznychfuzji.com/2013/06/labopedia-muzyka-kambodzy-panstwa-w.html If you like it you may also click "lubię to" button to like my website (on the right handside of the page). Someone's paying attention! Yes, yes, yes. It's all new. I mean, I've known about them but I never really got into them but someone showed me this song that I really turned out to like, soooo. Haha. Got their entire discography. Of course you love them. Naturally. You and your impeccable taste in music ;)

Don't "unfriend" me for snarky comments. It's what I do. I can't live without them.

Julius Eastman is on youtube. He only has one album, and it was released posthumously. Quite shocking that he has almost been forgotten about. Then again the titles of his pieces are not politically correct. And you know how uncomfortable white people can get.

I've deducted one point from your cool-dad-listening-to-cool-music card because I saw you scrobble Led Zeppelin. Now you're just like every other dad.

You might enjoy the band Big Blood. A DIY folk-rocky band out of Maine. They're melodious and hypnotic in a quirky almost sinister way. They can also be angular at times, too. Check out their Big Blood & the Bleedin' Hearts album. In addition, do you enjoy ambient music? If so check out Motion Sickness of Time Travel. A one-woman band from some forestry place here in the States that makes highly seductive almost translucent electronic music.

Do you just not get the urge to even hit play on your music player? And I subscribed because I was bored.

"No Diggity". Remember that song from the 90s? Well, I always thought the lyrics were "no diggity/like to bang it up" Referring to sexing the ladies. But that's not what he's singing. My life has been lie.

You have to hear the Borodin Quartet's set. They are essential. I need to pick up Dmitri's 14th and 15th string quartets, too. But I hear they aren't as stunning sonically and technically because the Borodin Quartet's lineup changed by the time Dmitri wrote those string quartets. Even if they're only half as good they'll still be worth it.

Not really. Just the usual Sublime Frequencies and Subliminal Sounds' releases.

I have a second account, but it's more of a weak copyright reason than any other. I don't use it, though.

I know as much as you. She has two albums that you already mentioned and that's about it. I do know she's pretty awesome. Her first album Semete is my favorite. Erva-Cidreira is good, too. What blog?

Well, I was about four tracks into it when I wrote that. And it sort of dwindled down in quality after that. Although, the album was great overall. Check her out. And yes I reset my charts again. It's something I like to do every year, because I'm weird. Which is interesting because I "knew" you back when I last reset it, too. Damn it has been a year already. (I use the term "knew" loosely.)
