OMG...we're like.....we're like a perfect circle (nearly) ! Nice to see somebody else digging Quivers, which is probably even more satisfying than our compatibility. #UpTheFannies

I caught TFC a couple of weekends ago at Green Man Festival in Wales. So good to see them again! Did you like the first Quivers album? It was the hearing the new stuff that made me sit up and take notice, and I love their album, but I'm getting more and more into their debut now. Hope they get more recognition/exposure; they deserve it. (Near Wild Heaven off their R.E.M. covers album is a beauty too!)

Me gusta Budapest. El próximo mes, voy a ir a The Hebrides. Teenage Fanclub tener que tour! Espero puedo verlas.

Tú eres en Tubingen permanentemente ahora? No bandas locales o poco?

Palabras femeninas o masculinas - no tengo idea... I also get confused whether to use "yo" or "lo" or neither, because the "o" at the end of words is also "I"? Cómo es su Aleman? Duolingo puntos esta mes - tengo mas! :-P

P.S. I saw this a couple of days ago, and thought of you when I saw the picture of Abbey Road: http://www.thisworldrocks.com/17-bucket-list-items-ruined-by-real-images/ I don't want to put you off! It has Angkor too - obviously the article is going to the extreme anyway and the places aren't always like that.

Ah, okay! I didn't even remember the words I'd translated for autumn and winter! It's good that you want to go to Neuschwanstein even more now. It can get very busy with tourists, but it's easy to walk a short distance up into the mountains to get away. Schloss Hohenschwangau, where Ludwig II lived as a child, is just across from Neuschwanstein too - along with some other castles further away. I meant favourite place - so it could be anywhere you've been in Argentina. :) How doesn't Uruguay count as another country? :P

Puedo traducir: "En otoño o invierno debe ser hermoso. No me queda tan cerca dog intentaré ir en how much you can. The history of Ludwig is interesting, now I dan more ganas de ir! I don't know if I have a favourite place, it is the first vez que salgo of Argentina practiced (one vez fui a Uruguay, but doesn't count como otro place :P). I like Germany a lot. Obviously I want to go to the UK!"

Me encanta Neuschwanstein! Me gusta Rey Ludwig II - él construyó Neuschwanstein. Copados! Quiero leer "Musicophilia" tambien. Tienes una locación favorito? Iceland es mi pals favorito. *Woof woof! Guau guau! Pero/perro - todavia me olvido.

Yo Googled Tübingen. Se ve bien (I would say "nice" if I knew a proper translation for that). But I got somewhere eventually! Have you read anything by Oliver Sacks? I bought my mum a few of his books including "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for A Hat" and she loves it - I'd like to read that one myself. I only go away once a year! Is that a lot? For work I tell companies how to improve their websites these days, but I save all the time for travel and gigs - there isn't much else I spend my money on. I've never spent more than £500 on a car, for example. I don't eat fast food or drink alcohol which saves a lot of money in comparison to my friends. I also stay in hostels and go to cheap places - in Georgia I didn't spend much more than £400 in 3 weeks.

I forgot to say the South Bank is probably best for that walk, though there are a few bridges if you see anything interesting over the other side, like St Paul's Cathedral over the Millennium Bridge. There's never enough time to see everything in London! I've been 50ish times I guess, and I still see new stuff, and there are still things I want to see. Ha, that's funny - it sounds like there are more tributes than over here! The tribute band I saw didn't really try to look like Oasis which was a good thing. They played What's the Story in full so it was good to hear. I've only seen 2 other tribute bands and that was about 10 years ago, and yeah, they wore dodgy wigs so it did feel a bit embarrassing. I'd like to see one of the big Beatles tributes though, they're supposed to put on a really good show. And there's a musical about The Kinks that's supposed to be pretty good.

Oh, and that walk I mentioned is only about 3 miles, so not too bad if you don't like walking. :-) And I don't know if it's any good, but at the O2 Arena in Greenwich is the British Music Experience - I think it's a sort of museum for British music. You can also take a cable car over the Thames there for some good views.

If there's anything more specific you'd like to know, just ask. I've realised I don't know much about you other than your music tastes! And I think you're planning on becoming a psychologist? Greenwich is a really nice area, but might be best for another trip if you only have four days. And what happened to last.fm??? I'd guess 'music-geeks' use it most, but they've messed up the data and half of it has gone, so it seems a bit pointless now. By the way, I saw an Oasis tribute on Friday - the singing didn't sound much like Liam and Noel but it was good to hear all those songs live (they actually sounded better than when I saw the real Oasis). I was wondering if there are Argentinian Beatles or Oasis tributes and if you go to see them?!

Voy a Angkor, Cambodia! Usted utiliza skyscanner.net y kayak.co.uk? Sprechen sie Deutsch? "Music-related" - no lo se! No tengo verlo Abbey Road etc. Quiero, pero mucho lo ver. I hope my Spanish is okay so far? It's getting too complicated for my skills now so I'll revert to English, or else you might not get a reply for weeks! It's good to walk - if you go from Tower Bridge along the River Thames to Westminster you'll see lots of famous sites - Tower of London, The Globe Theatre, The Shard, London Eye and Palace of Westminster are a few. All of the famous museums are good (and free for the permanent exhibitions) - The National Gallery, Natural History, Science Museum, British Museum etc. If you'll be using public transport a lot get one of these - it works out much cheaper than buying separate tickets: https://tfl.gov.uk/travel-information/visiting-london/visitor-oyster-card

Magnifico! Como es Germany (no sé paises)? I hope you get to go to a gig! Shepherd's Bush Empire is a nice venue if I remember rightly. Unfortunately I'm going away shortly after your trip, otherwise I might have travelled down to see Alvvays. Let me know if I can help with anything - I'm a tourist in London a few times a year so have come to know the ins and outs quite well. I wonder if "ins and outs" makes any sense to you?

Most of the bands I see are relatively cheap - usually around £10-£15. James are expensive at £36 though, and we get ripped off with fees - the fees for a James ticket pushed it up to £48! Do they do that in Argentina? I don't bother seeing many of the bigger bands due to the cost, and because you can't guarantee a decent sound in the larger venues. As you know I wish I lived in South America. :P I'd probably want to move back to the UK at some point though...

Ha, yeah, sucks. :P I typed my thoughts without thinking I think...maybe that's what I'm doing now. I always miss good gigs by going away at this time of year but I have a great lineup of gigs until the end of the year - I can't complain. It's definitely one good thing about living in the UK. Has there been nothing for you to see or haven't you been able to get to as many gigs?

I like Grant's album but nothing sticks in my head after I've finished listening to it. I've just booked a trip to Bulgaria which means I'll miss his tour which is disappointing. Though if I'd booked it for later I would have missed Bill Ryder-Jones playing If..., and Wolf Alice, which I would have been more disappointed about!

I dunno - the James album was a good surprise but otherwise it feels like last year - lots of decent albums but nothing that I feel I want to listen to again and again. I'm really liking these guys so hopefully their album will change my mind: http://www.last.fm/music/The+Lees+Of+Memory/_/Little+Fallen+Star Gone off them or going senile...maybe it's a bit of both. :-)

I was at a concert so I only saw extra time and I've been away since so I haven't even had chance to watch highlights. I'll have to disappoint you - I was hoping for Germany because I'd enjoyed watching them more. Also I wanted Argentina to lose the semi-final! :P That was so I could see them whip Brazil in the playoff though. Thanks for the link - hopefully it'll work on my phone. Otherwise I'm thinking of getting a new one just so I can try these apps out!
