god, Bioshock 2 was just about the biggest disappointment ever. really paled in comparison to part 1. def check out fallout and mass effect, though. both really long games (i spent about 80 hours in fallout and 40 ish in ME1 and 30 in ME2) so its worth the money.

oh man have you come to the right place! lets see.. Hmm Fallout 3 is amazing. open world, great side quests, not so great main plotline, but does NOT matter. basically a FPS/RPG. Mirror's Edge is one of my favorite games of all time. About this chick that runs messages b/t secret organizations in a totalitarian future, basically a FPS minus the "S." (except towards the end it kinda forces you to shoot stuff). dunno if you like scary games, but Dead Space is a great little action-horror-psychological thriller, with great combat and awesome future weapons. Oh, and Mass Effect. those games have some of the greatest stories ive ever played in a game, and really fun RPG and 3rd person shooter gameplay. oh and i dunno if youve played Bioshock, cant remember. if you havent, SHAME. about this underwater dystopia set in the 1950s which fell into a civil war, just, just play it if you havent, lol.

i dont know, i guess its just not my kind of game. i got it mainly for the multiplayer, but there's not much to do with your friends when you ride around so it gets boring really fast. and i just have no motivation to continue the story. its like ride 5 minutes to character who wants to talk to you. get mission. ride another 5 minutes to mission destination. finish mission. ride back to turn it in. rinse & repeat. i dont want to shame the Wild West, but for me to really get obsessed with an open world game, the open world needs to keep me interested, with a shit ton of collectibles and interesting side quests. & i know im only like 4 hours in, but i am just quite bored with the world its set in.

HELLs yes. im obsessed with Lost and Stephen King, so im very happy the developers named both of them as a source of inspiration for the game. i'm actually playing this wonderfully terrible game right now, Deadly Premonition, to prime myself for it. its kinda the same survival horror type thing, just without any production values, basically. no clue why i'm enjoying myself so much with it.

oh and believe me, im usually never bothered by gore in games, i usually find it fun and satisfying. its just when Alex (that was his name right?) can grab innocent civilians and soak em up like a slurpie to raise your health bar, i was like "ooookay, someone on the dev team needs a shrink." and the open world wasnt fun or interesting enough to make me want to explore, i did literally 1 side mission and then stuck to barreling through the story. i do admit, though, running up walls like a bat out of hell to leapfrog off the roof and glide into the air and then airjack a helicopter, that was batshit crazy fun.

what i do (very sneakily, i admit) is every christmas, i ask for the $50, 1 year subscription. so it'll last to the next xmas, and so on and so forth. so i never have to pay for it. if your bday is closer, substitute that for xmas, and you have the same idea. you have some cool games though, except prototype, no offense. i just found it overly gruesome and maddeningly difficult all the freaking time.

haha yeah, Live is totally worth it, i think. i love L4D and all, but god it has to get boring when you just replay campaigns right? and they just released a DLC pack that added these things called mutations that basically, on a weekly basis, change up modes to add longevity to the game. this week its "follow the liter" where cans in scavenge show up one at a time, not all at once, so the infected know where to hunt you. i heard that they're gonna do a chainsaw only one where you never run out of gas. hellllls yeah :D

haha, i have the privilege of Gamefly for all my renting needs. i got about 30 hours into FF 13, and i could not beat a boss i dont want to spoil, but it was hard. it was my first FF game so i consider it an accomplishment anyway. you have xbox live?
