Hahah :) Oh and thank you! Seems like you already have listened to it, at least I recall scrobbling all those songs you've listened today. I really appreciate it, I'd listen to your radio as well if I could but can't anymore :(

Oh, I haven't read that one - would you recommend it? I've only read her diaries which are definitely worth reading..! :)

Hmm, Cast of a Thousand and Asleep in the Back had a few good songs on them but they didn't feel complete as albums in my eyes. Shame that you can't go to more gigs as it really widens one's perception of an artist or a band. Oh and small concerts are better by miles, I just want to see Elbow again (definitely won't top their gigs in the Academy or the Apollo). :)

I suppose I do, I love live music!!! Not so sure about Elbow in the MEN (have never been there but have seen Elbow in the Academy and the Apollo)... I shall give you a review if you won't go (tickets are still available)! :) The new album needs to grow on me I think but it sounds promising... Leaders of the Free World and The Seldom Seen Kid are tricky to top though. x

I would recommend an LA band called Prima Donna. They sound like a mix of the Dolls, Mott the Hoople and early Alice Cooper. I would also recommend a CD titled "Spooky Sugar" by the Science Fiction Idols, who were a mix of the Dolls, Alice Cooper, T-Rex, Cheap Trick, Hanoi Rocks, and Kiss. And no, that's not me. That ass belongs to a dancer named Whitney Bryant, and she performs with a troupe called the Garage Girls a Go Go, who perform in go go style at events hosted by Little Steven's Underground Garage, a nationally syndicated radio program that's also a good place for discovering new bands. Here are some more pictures of her, if you're interested... http://s39.photobucket.com/albums/e184/drugpunk/WhitneyBryant08/

Yes, a bit like Florence I agree! Oh, thank you very much for yet another recommendation, the song made me curious to listen more to Sister Crayon. Reminds me of Scandinavian voices like Hanne Hukkelberg and Silje Nes, which I would recommend to you if you don't already know them - you're a bit of a musical mystery you know, Smashing Pumpkins, Roy Orbison and all these lovely female voices are quite an eclectic mix. :)

Hmm, admittedly I've never listened to a full Lamb album but like quite a few individual songs and I really like Lou Rhodes' voice. Some bands/ artists just don't work as albums. :)

P.S. Yes, I agree with you on Maxinquaye - trip hop in general is a mood thing I suppose, especially Tricky's style...

Blue Lines is still one of my most listened to albums, perhaps a cliche but I think it's a masterpiece. I don't know whether you've been into Lamb, but they play in the Manchester Cathedral this year which might be quite a nice gig. Oh, and what I've heard so far from Lia Ices I like a lot. Thanks for the recommendation. :)

I know what you mean! It was probably almost a minute into the video before I realized it was a joke the first time I saw it. I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life. Now and then I find myself in public murmuring to myself "the microphone is oooooooon" over and over again until I notice people staring at me and then I just burst into laughter. I guess, to the general public, my dream of insanity has already come true. I'll have to check out your radio at some point as well. Love the MC5 and a few others I see on here. I'm sure you've got a bunch of other classics I need to discover as well.

Well, Chan Marshall is incredible (although her slightly disappointing live performance in Manchester in 2008 has made me less of a fan), have stumbled across Lia Ince but haven't given her enough attention which I will now make up for. :) I see that you like Tricky - never quite gotten into his solo stuff, liked him much better with Massive Attack...

Haha no kidding. One day I'll totally lose it and have no wishes left. Keep up the good music taste brother!

Of course, thank you I suppose. I don't know half the bands you're listening to so will definitely give some of them a try. :)

Thanks for reminding me of Talk Talk - Stole that disc from an old roommate, forced to give it back - bought a copy this morning to replace it.
