Excellent translation from Google apart from the word for alarm which it translated as wake-up! Your 'currently playing' caught my attention whilst I was on the site - not staling you honest, guv. Re gigs, I'm not sure that the age thing is that relevant really as they are all old fogies really - I do sometimes feel guity about listening to a large extent to music from my formative years and not paying enough attention to the young kids. Am also tempted by Young Gods, Chameleons and Laibach too! - never seen either, will see how things pan out.

Checked out the blog. I really enjoyed the one in Deptford. Great to see more Alasdair info as his website is a bit behind the times. I thought about writing a site dedicated to all matter Alasdair but never got round to it. How do you know all the set lists? Can't wait to see him at Greenman. Next time were at the same gig again I'll buy you a drink.

hi David Jennings, you've been selected to be part of a music research dataset. In this dataset, we collected your listening habits via last.fm API. There is already a published dataset that contains the top-50 artists for a list of ~360,000 users (see http://mtg.upf.edu/node/1671 ). The new dataset were you'd appear it'll be similar to this one, but containing your listening history, anonymized. In any case, if you prefer not being part of this new dataset, please let me know ASAP. Thanks in advance! Cheers, Oscar

That's perfectly alright, I sometimes have to log on to my profile to remind myself who I am too :) And you're quite right, all that magazine reading gets in the way of actually listening to the music (but I still keep dipping in). Intrigued by your book btw. When I get to the bottom of my pile of music mags.....

Hello! Nice to hear from you! I thought the show was stunning, and the sound was pretty much perfect - hope you had good seats, whereabouts were you sitting? working on the shows was rather stressful but all good in end - can't quite comprehend how such an unpleasant man can write such beautiful songs tho...

Hi! I just wanted to say that I listened to your "library" today for quite a while and loved all the ambient and low electronica etc. Happy to have you in my list cause I am gonna listen to your library more now that I like it so much. Looking foward to scribble down names and get me some albums of them :). Thanks for that.

Brilliant - that looks pretty comprehensive. Loved the new song and the Big Star cover. The re-recording was of Graven Wood which is a great song that has just got better! Cheers! Simon.

Thanks for Indigo Moss. It appears I have them in my Library already. Don't remember when! Portico Quartet are so cool, agreed. Don't know Lawson/Dodds/Wood. Nice one, thanks. Haven't listened to the Clientele for ages. Might remedy that. I've got Mariee Sioux too. Again, can't remember when. Even I can't keep up with myself, lol. Grantura most definitely play live. I've been trying to get my act together to go see them all summer. They live in South London, not far from me. Actually probably midway between me and you. I've been waiting for a local gig. I'll let you know. On the indie front, I'm mad about TV On The Radio. I should browse your events, see if there are any I might like. :)

haha yes, that was me in the Guardian last week. Found you, had to comment, lol. ;D Glad to hear Ivan's doing well. I saw the little video you made of him (Facebook), made me miss my little nephew. Cute! I'm going to an Arctic Circle gig or two soon. Join me if you're free? Be nice to see you. New and exciting recently? Hmmm. I haven't been keeping up on my music homework all that well this year but the best releases seem to be coming from proper independent, new artists, not our old established ones. I've captured some in NNME and my journals. I like Grantura a lot. And Ocean Reid, got his CD. How about you? Any recos for me?
