I see :P I really like how you think about this and you're right! I also agree with you on how they didn't get attention by the media and record label. I think they were really talented, but I also believe they'd become very well respected in the genre due to that. Of course every band is a target of some kind of criticism... I've seen that a lot with Trivium, they are also my favorite band.

Oh so you play God Of War? Yeah I found out about them the same way. At first I didn't pay attention to them because I was like 'never heard of them, so they probably suck' Until I decided to give them a chance... I was blown away with their album! I've been listening to them quite often lately! I swear they would've become legendary if they had stayed together...

ik heb het niet zo met shogun. sindsdien ben ik het vertrouwen een beetje kwijt in trivium maar in waves maakt het voor mij weer goed! like the old memories met ascendancy!

I also need more time to listen to it. I think it's like a mix of Shogun & Ascendancy, great mix, really. The album as a whole is amazing, not sure where it places in best to worst. I do like it more than Ember to Inferno & The Crusade, though. So far my favorite songs are In Waves, Inception of the End, Black, Built to Fall, A Skyline's Severance & Caustic Are the Ties That Bind. But I do love every song, anyway. I'll have more favorites in time. I'm also happy they put Shattering the Skies Above & Slave New World on the album!

Absolutely not. The lineup hasn't seemed good to me since Trivium, Behemoth & Cannibal Corpse were there. Now they have all these wannabe, boring deathcore bands... Also Trivium isn't coming to where I live for the tour for some reason...

Yeah. Not too many festivals come by here... I've been to Mayhem Fest 2008/09 and saw Dragonforce, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, Trivium, Slipknot & All That Remains. I was happy to I got to meet Cannibal Corpse & Trivium, really cool guys!

I've reviewed some live concerts which I prefer, because I'm really not very good at identifying genres, and I see alot of album reviews that start talking about things like that. The webzine actually asked me if I wanted to Review it, which was cool. I was a bit hesitant about it at first, but then I thought I'd go for it. Maylene & The Sons of Disaster opened for Killswitch Engage (I think) Back on the Taste Of Chaos tour in '09, I'm not entirely sure though. They weren't too bad though!

Haha. It's always the same and on the FFDP page too. Just full of haters. I don't know why people comment on pages of bands they don't like. Seems like a waste of time to me! That sucks, Hopefully something will come your way soon! It's the same over here though. 'Sorry you don't have enough experience' but how can you get the experience if they won't give it to you!? It's so stupid!

Haha. I avoid the Trivium shout box it's always full of idiots! XD Who cares what genre the band are!? Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad that you enjoyed reading it. I've never reviewed an album before, so I was a little nervous about this one haha. So it's nice to know that people like it! The Internship isn't going too bad. It's a little boring at times and I'm not really doing much to be honest, which is annoying because I feel like I could do so much more. But it's still early days yet and we have some cool projects lined up for the next few months so we'll see. :D How is your job search going?

It's funny actually. When i was little i was given a shirt that said Metallica across the front, with some ugly creature on it haha.( My parents were the country music type, so i didnt grow up w/rock at all) My Metallica shirt was my favorite, and my older cousin let me listen to it for the first time, and it all started from there :] :]

No, and this upsets me deeply! because, to the dismay of the 'true Metallica fans', Death Magnetic was my favorite :]

Hey. I did. I'm not sure I like it :( Hopefully the album will have better songs. Or maybe it will grow on me. What did you think? I'm not too bad thanks. Finished Uni for the year - but my exams were a disaster, so I'm dreading the results of those! Just waiting to finalise the work placement thing so I can start... hopefully it will all work out. :/ How about you?
