I read your discogs profile and it's amazing simon and garfunkel were your first fave. Me too! They really are a gateway drug. Nice charts and definitely see some stuff I need to check out!

Yeah, I went to the concert last night. Testament was actually really good, they made me a fan. I hadn't heard too much of their stuff before the concert, but they were really good. Megadeth (once the sound was fixed) was amazing! I want to see them as the headliners, they have so many amazing songs and are just so awesome that I wanted more, they had a good set though. Slayer was good, I just feel that they sound better recorded than live. Overall, i thought it was an amazing concert!

Edward Ka-Spel is great. Perfect music when your head is just all over the place - or when you're feeling very centered and would rather be all over the place. Sadly, I missed Alcest. On my way to the show, I had some medical issues that prevented me from making it to New Haven. Even though I love Alcest, I was more looking forward to seeing Have a Nice Life, as it was only their second how ever. I was so fucking mad that i missed it.

Well, as a black man, seeing another black man become president after 400 years of slavery is a testament to a forward thinking America, regardless of what he does in office. His mere existence as president of the US changes what people think of me as a black man (especially overseas where all they know about black people is foolish media coverage). And that moment was all the more special when I shared it with my super-cynical grumpy 80 year old grandfather, who has experienced real racism in his lifetime, and said it could never be done.
