Father Robin's really good, I liked it even more than the new solo album that Wobbler's keyboardist put out recently. And I don't live in TO anymore, been in the Niagara region for a few years now

Check out Roots by Ian Carr's Nucleus, like a more rock and jam-based Donald Byrd

I like Marillion, but I think it's one of those cases where I need to listen to it again and again to properly digest it. Which albums specifically did you mean by post-Fish, and why?

I think they really start to come into their own as a band. Brave and Marbles and Fear are all great, and sound nothing like their first four albums. Not to say the first four are bad, I like them a lot. Fish is a great vocalist and I like him as a lyricist, his Gabriel and Hamill inspirations are really obvious and it's hard to pick better inspirations, and his solo stuff is good too. I just think they're a much more unique band past the first four albums.

I liked it too. Especially format. It was just disappointing in the sense that it was good but not brilliant (well not constantly brilliant).

Season 4 was good by general comedy standards but meh by Arrested Development ones. Nujabes is sorta like the godfather of jazz hop. Metaphorical Music is my favorite.

I know all of his albums are excellent I LURVE HIM. Listen to The Sky Moves Sideways and The Incident and Deadwing, then move onto Steven Wilson's solo masterpiece Grace for Drowning (much more intense than PT).

All of his albums are excellent, but go for Idle Moments, Grandstand and Matador.

I'm liking those PT plays. I hope Steven Wilson's pop-prog will prepare you for his solo real-prog.

Listen to the new Steven Wilson album, Grace for Drowning. He's the main man of Porcupine Tree, and it's arguably his best piece of music. GET READY FOR TROO PRAWG RAWK

Filler. Less than half of the songs are good, and everything else prioritizes shitty spoken word stuff and mundane effects. MUSIC < THE LYRICS LOLOLOL

I'm leaning towards skipping my concert Friday since the guy I want to see comes on at 9:45 so we might as well just head straight to my friend's house instead of me abandoning you for 2-3 hours.

For Fan Expo, you should know that I'm going to a concert at 8pm on Friday (my profile even says so) and it's some random 19+ avant-garde jazz shit I doubt you'd want to attend even if you were allowed in, so look up the schedule on the FanEx website so you can figure out something to do for an hour or maybe more since I'm not missing it.

I'll look him up, Anekdoten is often described as a slightly darker King Crimson.
