Today is your 15th LASTFM ANNIVERSARY :-) ... Congrats ! ... Can you vaguely describe now: how did your musical journey develop over these years?... P.S. Let me dedicate this song (e.g. available via youtube) to your anniversary: ... genre: experimental/minimalistic -> 10th track, from album ("piano edition (album #2)"): ... "between 3 and 4" (this track has 99 beats/mins) ... https://www.last.fm/music/Erkan+Y%C4%B1lmaz/_/between+3+and+4 ... Here in Germany, some stuff have gone out in the markets lately, e.g. toilet papers, milk, noodles, rice... Is this same at your place, Bex ?

How I found your lastFM user page actually? ... lastfm shows you as #9 in this weekly "Scrobble Leaderboard" charts: last DOT fm/user/sidewinder03/listening-report/week ... I am at #3 there ... nice to meet you

Gal Costa is my favourite brazilian singer, I'm going to see her live this year... There others very good, like: Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, Lenine... I like to expand my horizons too, so I was kind of stealing some artists from your library like Andrew Bird, Devotchka, Ladytron, Kiss My Jazz.... haha. :D

Bec, I'm seriously envious! DEMF has really appealed to my tastes these past couple of years, though I have never been. A few friends of mine make the pilgrimage every year, though it's always planned fairly far in advance... have you got tix / accommodation / an entourage / etc. already sorted?

Absolutely!!! I'd never seen them before, but was blown away - could not stop dancing. I considered going back for more Max Cooper the following night, but had other plans... kinda regretting it. Keep in touch, especially about similar shows! Here's one - Mike Gervais, Ctrl Alt Dlt and Cyanwave :) https://www.facebook.com/events/212425745506198/

Thanks for stopping by. Seems like we like a lot of the same bands and we're both in Seattle, so I'm gonna add you as a friend on here.

I've not seen Tricky live however his musical set is pretty good; and I've no idea how good he would be live. Seems like he could be good though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxMPhyiAJXU

Morgan Kibby the female vocalist does sound very Kate Bush. It is an aquired taste though. I'm quite into Glitch music at the moment which can verge on just ambient noise. That and cheesy rock classics like Toto for some reason.

Best album for M83 is the most recent one Saturdays = Youth. Real 80's brat back movie sound to it. Also has the track Coleurs on it which is a really good exercise song.

The Generationals album is great! Seems to fit the vibe I was looking for perfectly. Thanks!

I'll certainly give you some recos, I'm working on a list and trying to keep it from being overwhelming. I'm always open to recos too, if you have any. Old or new.

Ah yes, those have been in heavy rotation the past few weeks. I don't think any of them are overall top artists though, except maybe Self.

:) It's not so much the site/radio I'm addicted to, just tracking my own listening habits which mostly take place on my iPod or computer. Thanks for the add, maybe I'll make it to a meetup show someday.

Hmm... I may need to see some advantage on the scrobble race. Good job my car plays the iPod can load that up later.

I'm trying to make sure I get a job that I can listen to last.fm at work to so I can stay ahead of you :P

You'll start gaining on me once I get a "real job". Unless I can listen to music at work that is ;)

Catching up with my play count would be easy if you could listen to last.fm at work ;) My friend burntkona wipes me out because of that.

Keep meaning to ask if you've managed to get to any good gigs recently? Reminded me because I was watching Glastonbury online and wishing I could be there for that; and I've now got my October/November gigs sorted out for after I've moved.

Well you could start a new profile but you'd have to build up your information all over again etc. Which would be annoying.

It's only creepy if you don't want to be found out; and in your case all attention is welcome :P (anyways as a paid subscriber I know when you've been looking ;)

My current music mission is to try solid listening to one band for an hour or so rather than my constant shuffle. The National are winning as the most tolerable of the lot for me on that front.

It's my favourite exercise and thankfully my uncorrected vision is good enough for navigation around the pool (and darkened nightclubs for that matter). However it doesn't help me spot Japanese whaling ships at a distance so I don't swim at sea anymore.

Saw a girl swimming with an iPod today and apart from weirded out by the surrealness of swimming with earphones in; I had to wonder what the hell her playlist would be? As much as I love music there is something meditative about swimming and the idea of listening to a song whilst swimming just doesn't seem right.

yes, we are pretty awesome my fellow Capricorn. If you like electronic/good beats check out Pretty Lights (www.prettylightsmusic.com) its really great stuff and they give it all away for free. For indie electro pop take a listen to Miike Snow. And for good unsigned hip-hop, check out Chiddy Bang (also free).

Think I may have mentioned this to you before but this is one of my favorite sites to find new music: http://indiefeed.com/ don't use it much at the moment as I don't have wifi and am relying on mobile internet. Have found so many good bands through it.

Not actually moving till end of April but making sure I'm getting a head start and minimizing my life. Sorting out some college study and then might even have a different degree by end of next year. Still working out about the job and life stuff etc. Everything in flux but upbeat for a change.

An entire day of packing and sorting listening to music. Combination of heaven and hell.
