Thank you! Speaking of Dead can Dance, I just watched a vid with Neige from Alcest, and he said Within the Realm of a Dying Sun was one of his biggest inspirations and one of his favourite albums.

Yep I know Slowdive as well. The good thing about last.fm is that you can click 'Similar artists', and find more music of the same type

They are indeed essential. I've also been listening to a Calgary band I saw last night. The album I got is pretty good thrash

Yeah? Which one? I'm always listening the same bands. But when I hear the new ones is very rare. Depends which sub-genre it is.

They're called Concrete Funeral. Im not a huge thrash fan in all honesty. But I'll support the Calgary scene. Here is a link https://www.facebook.com/Concrete-Funeral-972733492737218/

I wish, lol. I've been having some person issues mixed with no internet and lack of money right now. I've finally got my internet resolved, thank goodness. My person issues are almost over - now it's just trying to get caught up. It's been a rather difficult year so far /shrugs. I really did want to go to COB and Hypocrisy but that didn't happen. I could afford the Calgary band show, but I will be busy all may long :(

Oh too bad. Im sorry about the lack of money right now. Another girl I know from concerts is in the same boat I think :( I was gonna go to Ghost but, holy shit, I think they're too pricey for me. We'll see I guess

I may or may not be, not 100% sure yet. I would really like to but it depends on a family thing if I can make it or not :( I'll know closer to the time of show unfortunately. Sorry about the late response, I'm sometimes terrible at social media, lol.

Yeah, me too. I'm hoping to be able to get a hold of the tour manager to see if I can bring my DSLR in lol

Haha! Awesome. I'm pretty excited for that show. Will be my first time seeing any of those bands. You going from start to finish or showing up later?

Oh yeah, that's a great Wilson album. And the show was amazzzing! They put up a great performance. They're better entertainers than musicians I feel. Loved it!

Going to watch them Maiden tomorrow in Van. What songs did they play? Any from their older albums? :D

How novel. Although, I've been described as "multifaceted". Incidentally, I do appreciate silence above needless noise. I'm currently three weeks into sort of teetotal social experiment. And given my geography, I'm quite familiar with overcast skies. Thus, sunshine is a rare luxury. It also seems that we have a fair amount of similar taste in music though. So we can cling to that at least.

I thought of doing the same thing when I stopped listening to so much freak folk/indie/etc. but I just deleted the bands that I stopped listening to & didn't enjoy anymore. It didn't take long. I personally would not reset my scrobbler because then I'd lose all my recommendations.

So many questions? Haha, direct message me! :) That must have been a weird situation? I unfortunately do not listen to them... but I appreciate their sound?

Ne Obliviscaris is absolutely incredible. I remember being blown away when the demo came out and then even more surprised when the album lived up to the hype and more! I'm excited for their next two albums that they have planned.

Hello there, sorry for the late respons, but I'm not on LFM that often anymore. I love your taste, it's very diverse. i saw your post on Ihsahns page and I would recommend the Adversary. While it isn't jazz influenced like After or Eremita, it's a gem, and my personal favorite after After. The Adversary is pretty similar to Emperor, but a little proggier... Plus Garm features on a song. :)

Now that you mention it yeah it sure seems that way... top four band genres are black metal, pop/punk, folk, and acid jazz.

That was my first impression too. Now I like it more than Dwellings. But Metazoa is still my favorite.

Thanks for the request. Lots of bands in common, indeed! I noticed that you just listened to the new Cormorant album. What is your opinion on it?

Yeah I didn't really like their new one as much as I wanted to, Have you heard Nekromantix? I just recently heard them and am kinda hooked onto their 2011 album. You should check it out.
