HANNAH! :D Egads, is that really you back after all this time??? How long has it been??? Are you back to stay or is it a flying visit??? & most of all, how are things in HanWorld??? Excuse all the questions, but its been a while, y' know, so I'm sure your good self can let me off! :P So what's been occuring, musically speaking, in your world since we last saw you? Last year was another sparklingly great year for music - check out my Top 10 of the year journal if you have a chance! :) Yeah, shameless *plug plug*, but hey, some things never change, haha! :P Like, Sir Kacheung said below, its hard to fill you in on a whole year, hence why I'm pointing you towards my journal, haha! Oh & there's some gig journals you may have missed too! :P Yeah, yeah, I'm a shameless plugger! ;) Fill me in with your worldly newsy stuff & I'll give you the lowdown at my end! Great to see you back! :D x

I was young once. I kinda understand what the kids are thinking. I still have their mindset though whenever attending class ;) No voices in my head urging me to do something worthwile (yet) though I highly doubt they'll ever come! :p Uuuh, it's hard to fill you in on a whole year of musical discoveries, but I recently rediscovered the ultimate chillness that listens to the name [artist]Real Estate[/artist] I'm sure you've heard of them. I think you can let some of their music sink in whenever a hard day's work is over (not that I, the ultimate slacker, would know how that is supposed to be) Try it out! x

Lady Hannah! How nice of you to grace us with your presence! Was it those pesky new year resolutions which brought you back? Or did you just missed us? Either way, we missed our favourite dudette like hell! What's new in the life of m'lady? Still teaching eager kids thirsty for knowledge? ^^

i seem to have fallen off the planet. my existence is questionable. alternatively, my last.fm scrobbler malfunctioned and now i cant use/uninstall/reinstall it on my laptop. be sure to know, i still listen to music however. i just cant keep a nice little log of it on the internet for lots of pretentious music snobs to see :) not that you are one!!. other people are though. for some reason the cranberries song zombie has been stuck in my head for an age and will not shift itself. frank turner has a new album? how does one feel about it? and lastly... how are you?!

...way recently, but what ones would your good self like??? Maybe The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart & their album Belong - a bit Pumpkins-y. Or possibly The Naked & Famous - Passive Me Aggressive You - super cool retro electronica from New Zealand. Or even possibly The Boxer Rebellion - The Cold Still - very cool indie-rock in the same kinda vein as The National! :) Oh & a couple of gigs have recently been added to my calendar - DCFC & Lamb - both in July - looking forward muchly to both of those!!! Rumour has it that the new DCFC album is a bit more electronic - maybe a nod to Mr Gibbard's lovely side project, The Postal Service - yay! :D Oh & hope you're loving the gorgeously lovely weather we have at the mo - more like summer than spring!!! :) Oh & a final & belated heads up - it was my birthday last week & I edged a tiny bit closer to that dreaded age, haha!!! But, meh - it doesn't bother me! Hope all is cool in Hannah Land!!! Take care, my dear & lovelove! :) xxx

Ahoy HANNAH!!! Mighty fine to hear from your good self! :) Yeah, its been very good, but pretty busy at Al Towers recently, but I'm back to shamelessly fill your shoutbox, with my rambling, haha! ;) First things first, the new Elbow album is indeed a beautiful & immense thing of utter loveliness! :D Good call on With Love! So many great stuff to choose from, but I think my fave has to be Open Arms at the mo - but I could easily have picked plenty of others - With Love, The Birds, Lippy Kids, Neat Little Rows, its all stunningly stunning!!! oh & saw them at the O2 Arena recently - it was a night to remember for sure!!! :D *Cue shameless plug* - I believe a journal of said gig exists - hope you have a chance to have a wee peek at it!! :) Thankily for the rec - I had heard of Goodbooks but never got round to checking them before they split - but now you've given them the official Hannah Heads Up - I shall have a gander & let you know what I think! Hmmm,a LOT of new albums have come my...

Hanny m'lady!!! My my my, it's been over a month already. I blame my lack of selfdiscipline for this shameful achievement. What's even more shameful is the fact that the UGG organization got word of the pending war and offered a decent amount of hush money. So no bad word on UGGs on my behalf now ;) Or that's one way to look at the story. The other one includes ingredients like disinterest, lazyness and similar stuff....

Haven't logged into this for a while! Yeaaah giving Editors some love this week, in the kind of mood for In This Light and Evening anyway :-p.. Aaah it sounds interesting upon first listen, for some reason it reminds me of early Depeche Mode stuff from the 80s, i'm intrigued for more! and they are still sticking with the electronic sound too, i think that's a good shout.

HANNAH!!! :) Ah, I have to say that its me who's been the rubbish person!! *blushes* You did indeed reply to my last shout, I just haven't got round to replying to your good self until now - my bad!! My ears have indeed been graced with the prescence of the shiny new Elbow album & I have to say that its simply wonderful!! :D I've given it 7 hearts so far out of 11 tracks & I've only listened to it twice! Neat Little Rows is also a glorious lead single for the album, indeed! Definitely a Marmite kinda song, but I too loved it on first hearing! :) Yeah, that is indeed a teeny tiny photo of my good self!!! It was about time the last.fm world was treated to a photo that wasn't a cute, furry animal, haha! That was taken on holiday recently - that part of the holiday was in the Lake District & it was simply lovely! :D All is fine & shiny in Al World right now...I hope HannahLand is a nice place to be too!! :D More to follow ASAP!!! Lovelove!! xxx

Gave the new Mogwai album a few listens and i gotta say it grew on me everytime! few songs sound like the old Mogwai but they've experimented quite a bit with this one and i like the outcome :-) How To Be A Werewolf, Mexican Grand Prix and You're Lionel Richie are definitely favs!

Yeah Amplifier, they're quite good. I bought their debut record a while ago and it was hard to get into it I'd have to say. But now... Hmmm good shit! :-) Having some troubles with The Octopus though. I was one of the 500 (!) lucky bastards to order the now sold out limited edition leather bound and personally signed book-with-golden-octopus-print, but 2 hours of music is long and it's quite inaccessible, but I'm trying hard! ^^ Are you going to see them live? I don't know yet, it's the week before my exams and it's like 100 miles (160 km) from where I live (Tilburg Holland). BUT! I'm going to see The Pineapple Thief, along with Pure Reason Revolution and Sun Domingo on April 1st at the Rock Ittervoort festival in Holland (no, this is not a joke!) :-)

It's a good thing that in the meeting we decided to start an organization with the means to get things done against all the injustice in the world. All we need is a financer. So UGGs tops the priority list, beating down Microsoft is on the list and sampling Imogen Heap will be the next thing to be added to that list!

I will be seeing the National tomorrow, which very well could be the gig of the year. You have every right to be jealous. If I would be in your non-UGG shoes, I would feel the same! Song of the year (yes, England), album of the year. In fact, High Violet just took over the title of favourite album of all time as rated by sir Kacheung™. And thus, experiencing the High Violet tour will be amazing at the very least. Actually, the expections are sky high, no way they can live up to it ;) As for my UGGly problem, I know talking about the problem is not gonna solve it, however you do need some kind of structured plan. You can't just barge in Downing Street with a megaphone and fireworks and expect it to work. But speaking of megaphones (reminded me of [album artist=imogen heap]i megaphone[/album]) I just listened to [track artist=imogen heap]hide and seek[/track] and it is forever ruined by Jason Derulo. Before J. D. I really enjoyed the song and now...

Sorry for a delayed reply, have been nursing another hangover, gosh us students! Hah great story there :-p well basically McVicar is taken from a film lead starring one of my favorite peoples, Mr Roger Daltrey of The Who about a bank robber called John McVicar who reformed himself in prison. Basically it was the only thing i could think of at the time when i made an account so there it stuck! See you are listening to some God is An Astronaut and Mogwai! if you like them you'd like The American Dollar and Maybeshewill, amazing bands. Envy! i really need to get off my backside and start seeing some more bands live, not like i haven't got the free time :-p
