Nice to see you listening so actively again, buddy! You're right ahead of me on this week's listening board :D

Oh, that's odd. ASCAP credits no less than 13(!) writers including Tove Lo and Florrie... but no Keisha. In any case, I'd love to hear a Sugababes take on Something New - gawd, I'd love to hear them sing *anything* really.

I'm a Reputation apologist, so a second serving would be nice (but not likely). Honestly, anything but folk/alternative... hell, I'm rooting for a country album at this point!

This year I was meant to attend a Taylor concert - GOLDEN CIRCLE. Instead I got folklore and evermore. Her folk era has been a complete disappointment. I hope two albums are enough to get 'folk' out of her system!

I've listened to Florrie for the first time ever today. I didn't hate the experience.

No. It means that All Saints released a decent album in 2016 (I wouldn't have seen that coming in 1998).

last.fm's top recommendation to me is Meghan Trainor. What have I done wrong?

I've finally heard 100 Degrees! Kylie's only put the regular edition of the album on Spotify. 100 Degrees is OK. I'm not buying the deluxe version to get it, that's fer sure.

I've only listened the samples, but... IT'S SO DULL. The Frank duet is pointless, the Xmas standards are so conservatively executed, the 'originals' are no contenders for modern Yuletide classic status a la 'All I Want..'. And, of course, Santa Fuckin' Baby. I'll give it a proper spin, but I suspect it's a 4/10 affair.

So now we haven't friends, we have followers? New last.fm strikes again. I prefer friends to followers.

I don't want a re-release. A new album or nothing. A one-off single with Calvin would be nice, but not a full album please.

HAVENT WATCHED IT YET??? I hope you have spent your time wisely. The correct singles run would be Wildest Dreams - Out Of The Woods - New Romantics - Blank Space. I'm kind of over 1989 meself, but Wildest Dreams still roolz.

I pretend it's Britney in the Wildest Dreams video. In fact, in every music video ever I pretend Britney is the star. I am still coming to terms with the fact that Other Pop Stars Exist.

I don't like this new last.fm layout! My profile text is gone. They better get it right.

I think it's hilarious that Sugababes' 'Freedom' video has over 900K hits on Youtube and MKS' 'Flatline' has 600K hits. Are you still waiting for the MKS album?

I have never heard a full Demi Lovato album. I don't think Cool For The Summer will change that. Good For You is a grower, but Selena needs better material. I don't want to live in a world where Taylor Swift is the bigger pop star (yet here I am).

I can't with 2015. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huhKnt0EffM How was this not a global hit? She supported Kylie!

No Sleeep puts me to sleep. It's 'vibey' and 'vintage Janet' and ultimately very lazy. I will never stop stanning for Feedback though. #heavylikeafirstdayperiod

Honestly I think she's been pretty wise with her singles choices. However Wildest Dreams is the best song she's ever written, and it is a shame it we're getting Bad Blood instead. And as a bonus horror: An Ellie Goulding feature in the video. Fucking Ellie Goulding.

1. Electra Heart 2. The Family Jewels 3. FROOT Am I the only one who thinks she needs to hook up with Stargate again? Radioactive is incredible. (every time I write a comment here I get distracted by the Messy Little Raindrops gif)

Oooh I can get behind that list of yours. Mannequin is deffo one of the best song offa Circus, and Circus is also home to two of her best bonus tracks: Amnesia (which may very well be my fave Britney song EVAH) and Phonography! From The Bottom... is a disgrace, especially considering how GREAT Born To Make You Happy is (ie her best single....? Almost anyway).

I thought the vinyl boom was a young folks thing? Some nonsense about 'organic' and 'warm' sound, all lies of course. CDs on the other hand are practical, you can rip them and get mp3s AND have a physical product. *shakes cane*

Time for a Britney album rate I think. I wasn't disappointed with FF, but as always with Britney I was hoping for more than what reality was prepared to offer. So here we go: 1. In The Zone (everything I ever wanted in a pop album - during the ITZ era she was the perfect pop star to me) 2. Blackout 3. Britney 4. BOMT (everything beyond the singles is pisspoor, but the singles run is too flawless for words) 5. Circus (so patchy, but the highs are amazing) 6. Femme Fatale (same as Circus) 7. Oops (Stronger is an obvious standout, but overall weak) 8. Britney Jean (not as terrible as the 'hatas' make it out to be, but yeah... )

Clearly Canada Post don't know their priorities - I still cherish the memory of having my deluxe version of Femme Fatale being delivered to me at work. Britney knows her diehard fans can't wait to be disappointed!

So I received my physical DELUXE edition of Rebel Heart this weekend, and there's not even a booklet? Cheapo Madge. I am happy it's a two-disc affair, but I still can't help feeling cheated.

Spanish Lesson is the only turd on Hard Candy. It's a solid album, I hope it will be re-evaluted in years to come.

Joan of Arc is the sort of thing M should be above! It's the worst song on the standard version. Holy Water? In the history of pussy jams it ranks at the very bottom. Woohoo is the holy grail of pussy jams! I think I'm down with about 6 out of 23 songs - and that's when I've substituted the RH and WAOM album tracks with the demos. I'm going back to Hard Candy.

Screw it, I don't need more time. Bionic is definitely the better album. I can't forgive M for what she's done to Wash All Over Me and Rebel Heart - the demos are infinitely better. I'm struggling to find redeeming features, Devil Pray is the only one I'm going back to. I suspect Rebel Heart might become my lowest ranking M album. At least Ray Of Light has Frozen (and nothing else).

I need more time. I think I prefer MDNA. Devil Pray is me fave so far, but the album blurs into a big mess to me. And I hate the album version of Wash All Over Me. EFF u Madge, I'm sticking to True Blue.

The 'we could sniff glue' line made me laugh. It reeks of lazy songwriting and is in all probability a desperate bid to be provocative. And yet she's still on her 'love will heal the world' bullshit power trip. What's wrong with (more) songs about dancing?

So the best Madonna songs to come out of 2014 are the two Avicii tracks. Wash All Over Me is a winner next to Bitch I'm Madonna and whatever the other songs are called. I won't judge 'till the full album is out, but if the new songs are signs of what's to come.. MDNA and Hard Candy will trample Rebel Heart 'till dust for sure.

The Donna Xmas album is nice, but it's depressing to think that if Donna had her way she would've sung nothing but songs of praise.

Two full songs leaked! I take back most bad things I've said about Avicii, apparently he is good for other purposes than looking cute in a baseball cap. Rebel Heart is legitimately brilliant, Wash All Over Me is too EDM for my tastes.

It sounds mellow and not try-hard, although I don't hear much Kylie in it except the 'wee-oh-wee-oh' bit. She needs to hurry up with the new album!
