Yeah I don't tend to use this place much, nor twitter. I mainly speak through FB these days but will use twitter more now that I don't have to use my phone all the time. I was in Oz for 2 weeks plus Kuala Lumpur and Singapore so was away for just under 3 weeks. Was great to get sunshine and warmth in January instead of snow! Not much else has been happening. Was at the Brits last week though. had to drop that in! haha! What you been up to? Yeah my number is the same still

Oh it's good that you're managing to get your artwork seen though. You never know who's going to be looking at it and might want to commission something. I've never been to Inverness either. Too far away. What kind of job are you looking for/hoping to get? The cheapest concert tickets were £45.

I'm still librarianing at a university library - lots of cataloguing (which I love - it appeals to my overbearing inner pedant), fiddling with subscriptions for online journals, oh, and we've got this http://www.ref.ac.uk coming up this year, which will keep me busy.

Ooh, congrats on being the proud possessor of a plastic tube (and accompanying degree) and on the exhibitions! Hope all goes well next month!

Yup, born 1950 and 1951, so proper baby boomers. Must admit, I am starting to sympathise with your parents' attitudes re: music. I used to keep up with everything new, but haven't listened to the charts or read the NME for yeeeears. Anyhoo, enough of my midlife crisis. How's uni?

Haha, your dad has excellent, eclectic taste in music. My dad likes proper blokey rock like Led Zep, Deep Purple and Zappa, while my mum liked "cooler" music (60s beat pop, Motown, Dylan), so between them I got a pretty good grounding (and nicked loads of their records). I hadn't heard that Franz Ferdinand song before, but me likey!

Your DAD likes Morrissey... oh man, that makes me feel old :-s My dad loathes him - thinks he's a whiney, moaning git - so I've always thought of Moz as dad-Kryptonite. You must have a very cool father! What's the Franz Ferdinand song about/inspired by Delaney?

Ahoy hoy Daniel! Hope you're well. Loving the Shelagh Delaney pic. (Confession: I've never actually seen or read any of her work, but anyone who's appeared on a Smiths album cover is a-ok with me!)

I've never been to BOA before (or Stirling) so it will be nice to visit. Never been to Montrose either. Would you recommend? You don't need to pay anything for the typewriter. not sure if you can still get ribbons for it so you can check that out when I find out what make it is! Avatar is the Top 75 from 12.01.1985. It's on Facebook too

No, thanfully. I have one more show left (Broadcasting House) and the 2 concerts on my page and that's it. Got a wedding in Bridge Of Allan weekend after next so need to save some pennies for that. You been up to much? Not forgotten about the typewriter by the way but it will take a major excavation to find it...!
