Happy 11th scrobbling anniversary! ... How quick time passes by listening to magnificent bands, right? ... What do you like best about lastfm now, and if you still remember, what did you like when you joined over a decade ago?... P.S. Let me present this piece (e.g. via itunes) to this anniversary of yours: ... genre: minimal/experimental -> 9th track, from album ('violin meets piano (3rd album)'): ... "the deep voice is reminding" (this track has 100 BPM) ... https://www.last.fm/music/Erkan+Y%C4%B1lmaz/_/the+deep+voice+is+reminding ... Here in Germany, some items are unavailable in the stores nowadays, e.g. milk, noodles, rice, toilet papers... Is this similar at your place, Elena ?

Hi, Elena! Saw your comment on Boy & Bears page. So envy you seeing them in concert. Loved them since the first album. Eagerly awaiting the new album in September. I have become obsessed with Hold Your Nerve. I think the new album will be a killer.

Happy 2019 from Germany, Elena, it's magnificent to know you scrobble here on lastfm for over 9 years already :-) ... Welcome to the "oldtimers" club... Recalling from today's viewpoint: how did your "musical exploration" pan out over time? ... I am wishing the best for your pending **143k scrobbles, and "1150 artists scrobbled" milestones** ... How I came by your profile? ... lastfm shows us both in this weekly "Discovery Leaderboard" stats: last DOT fm/user/pitrafilla/listening-report/week

Hey, Elena, what are your opinions on the new remasters of A Storm In Heaven and A Northern Soul? I still haven't listened to everything, but I like what I've heard so far.

Huh, I think I may have misspelled your name in the previous shout... But I'm still mad at you for not considering my necessity for information from the Southern Hemisphere before deciding to go live in Germany.

But I already have people who report to me from wurst land... Now who's gonna talk to me about the weather in the land down under? That was so selfish of you, hyena!

Well, i do appreciate your logical reply. Can't argue with that. How's it going in kangaroo land?

Your shout was rather cryptic. What is it that you consider to be inferior to 3?

Yeah, probably. I still haven't listened to Wicked Nature more than twice, I think. Not a bad album at all, but it just wasn't as interesting as, say, Vision Valley. I've never really seen Australian towns, but since I'm aware of the existence of Huntsman spiders I decided I'll probably won't be visiting anyways.

I have to admit that I didn't really feel 'Miracle Land' when I listened to it. Maybe it needs more plays. And wow, moving from Sydney to Berlin is a pretty heavy change. As a Dutchie, Germany is never too far away and I always find it a bit... sad(?) to be there. A big part of Germany is pretty much the same as the Netherlands -- and Holland is real fucking ugly, haha. By the way, I see you've been listening to Bill Ryder-Jones a lot -- he was amazing in The Coral, wasn't he?. Didn't care much for his first solo album when I listened to it ages ago, but my tastes have changed a lot, so I'll probably give it another go.

Time sure has flown! I hope you've had an awesome year thus far. :D I didn't mean to take so long again to give you a shout, my bad! The past several months have been crazy over here. The family home we lived in for a decade was lost to foreclosure so now I'm helping my parents pay the rent for a smaller, yet gorgeous new house. I feel the pressure of working hard for my folks so hopefully it'll continue to work out over here. I spent a bunch on concert tickets and drinks over the summer, and now I realize I'm gonna have to drastically cutback by '16. I gotta say though, it's been fun. I saw artists I'd dreamed of seeing and others I'd never heard of before; I was able to catch some shows with my mom and friends as well. :) That covers most of my year thus far aha. I listen to much of my music in the car and I've scrobbled less this year, ever since this site began changing. :S Oh well, I hope life is continuing to treat you well offline haha. Take care and happy spring!

AH!! Not true. They actually changed a couple of things yesterday, but not everyone noticed. Behold our new musical compatibility bar, now in a snazzy gay purple circle! And they changed that awful "Track - Artist" crap back to how it should have always been (Artist - Track). In a couple of weeks they promised more relevant updates. Let's see what features will be back by then... But anyway, that's so cool that you got to see Blur recently! I bet you were ecstatic, constantly lifting your shirt and yell at the stage "SUCK MY TITTIES DAMOOOOOOON!! IMPREGNATE ME WITH YOUR HOLY SEMEN AND GIMME YOUR CHILD!!". Because you totally sound like that kind of girl. Totally. Anyway, since you enjoy Blur so much, how about Pulp? Do you like them? Do you listen to them? Do you even know them? I actually think I prefer Pulp over Blur, but that's just me.

I also hate the followers thing. They're turning this into a cult, where we're followers and they're the ruthless leaders that will do anything to the website without us having any say in it. Here life is boring adn whatnot. But mostly boring. I miss having fun in this place, but most people I used to "hang out" with around here seem to be gone. Have you listened to Blur's latest album? I haven't. I probably won't. I guess I'm more of a Graham Coxon kinda guy.

Oh, thank you! That record is so close to my heart, closer than near any other. Looking over your charts now, it seems there's a lot of bands worth listening to that I've not even breached the surface of - just getting into Blur via their newest, but most of these other names high up on your list are total unknown factors to me.

More of a scrobbling service and less of a social website, this place is fucked and we just have to live with what they gave us now. The e-mail notifications were very handy, now I have to refresh my profile often just to see if there's any new shouts in need of a reply. According to the Last.fm team, they haven't deleted anything, everything has been saved and it's sitting around somewhere, it's just that they're unable to give us access to all that info right now (you know, shouts, events and such). So, anyway, trying to ignore this pile of turd we find ourselves sitting on (which isn't easy to do, I know), how are things down under?

They sure made it not fun to come here anymore. This thing's been broken for almost a month now. And I've read an official reply elsewhere that they'll be bringing most of the old features back IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. Jesus! It'll take them months to make this the way it used to be? I'm so glad I'm not a subscriber right now, it would suck too much giving away money for this crap. But at least scrobbling (the heart of Last.fm) is operational. It's just everything else that's fucked up... *sigh*

Hi, Elena. Saw a shout you left for Boy & Bear. What a GREAT band. Totally unknown in the U.S. Shame. Deserve to be huge. Two great albums and a third shortly. Looking at your charts, I gotta play me some more Verve! Have to give your radio a play! Take care and was a pleasure 'meeting' you!

Are you actually planning on coming to Europe? Are you going to study in the EU? Australia seems pretty cool too, though. Dutch children often grow up with the idea that Australia is the furthest place you can possibly go on earth, no matter where you live, and they think the world just ends after, haha. At least I did when I was younger.

That's nice! My best friend has a BJM tee, but he bought it at a gig when they played here. Guess I've got another reason to see them live, haha. A 10 hour drive will definitely get me somewhere, in the Netherlands you can get from the southmost point to the northmost point in an hour or 4. That's how small our country is, haha. Guess I'll just take the boat to the UK, I don't live far from the coast anyway.

We were friends once, but I guess I unfriended you in a cleanup, haha. I do want a BJM related t-shirt, but they're pretty hard to come by around here. Neo-psychedelica doesn't really have a place in the Netherlands. There's bands like PAUW and DeWolff (both great), but it's pretty scarce compared to Australia and other countries, haha. I saw The Delta Riggs on your page, haven't listened to them, but they seem interesting, so I think I'm gonna check them out.

Yeah, they are. Actually a really good band, if you take the time to get into them, something I never really did. I see you also like The Dandy Warhols and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Last week I watched the documentary Dig! in which their rivalry is portrayed, but I guess you've seen it already, haha. Was a great watch though, interesting to see their friendship turn into bitter disgust.

Mmmmmm... *_* Concentration by the music... Oh yeah, this is great! I did the same things when I've learned in the technical school. There was a lot of calculations and I was listening music and doing my calculations. Damn, I've slept only 3-4 hours per day and another time it was coffee, music and my work with course work/diploma... It was two years ago. Very hard, but happy time.

Hello! I hope life has been treating you well. :) It has been a long time since we've spoken. 0.0 I know I have lost touch with many of my old online friends over the past year or so; I'm not proud of myself but I find it hard enough trying to maintain a living in the real world aha. I am now happy to say I have sent you a shout every year since 2012 (THAT'S A LOT OF SHOUTING).
